I choose fantastic because my computer is 1337 The installation process was absolutely painless. You just click one or two buttons and you're there. When first booting up the game it asks what graphical setting you want the game to be displayed at. The graphics aren't too taxing, so just about any computer should be able to run it at at least medium specs. 
Big, black, and lots of stamina. LOL, I'm funny. And popular... At the character creation screen you are greeted with a smorges board of different options, it was almost overwhelming. You can change your wolf's name, fur color, fur color saturation, fur color tone, gender, and stats. I did notice that there was an exploitable gitch though. If you switch between male and female enough times, it allows for some crazy stat altering. Usually, rasing one stat results in the lowering of another to balance out you character. But using the glitch I was able to raise my strengh to it's maximum without significantly lowering my other stats. However, this minor glitch doesn't detract from what is overall, an amazing character creation system. 
Due to it's violent content Wolf Quest is expected to recieve an AO rating by the ESRB When you finally get down to the core gameplay you discover that this is truely where the game shines. The lovingly crafted level designs show that developers went all out to make sure that this game represented the true harshness of the wilderness. Controls are a little combersome, requiring an odd use of both the mouse and arrow keys (or w,a,s,d). The controls really become an issue when you have to track down and capture prey, but it really just adds to the overall challange. Another nice detail I noticed was that a small little fox comes by and scavenges your leftover kills after you leave. Another nice touch that just shows why people are so excited for this game. While the game is somewhat incomplete, the developers will have plenty of time to fix everything up before the scheduled release date of "whenever it's done".
