And supposely, what the hardcore bungie guys think, is that they're developing 2 titles (intensely) now- Halo Forerunner and a new IP. The latter would've been announced today.

It will probably be 9 or even 10 years between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. The entire Halo series didn't take that long to go from 1 to 3. They are definitely milking it.

Ummm so is every other franchise that has been successful? GTA, COD, Medal of Honor, Brothers in Arms, God of War, KZ, Resistance will soon be, Gears of War, Crysis soon to be, Final Fantasy what 50? Come on that argument is getting stale.

Why would they just stop making MGS or Halo games? Both universes are interesting and the franchises result in very fun games. I say keep em coming. The only reason I can think of to stop making them is if we weren't getting enough new IPs. But we've gotten a good share this gen already

I saw this earlier and me and my friends all agree that bungie needs to make something new. Halo 3 should be the end of the franchise give us something fresh don't turn this into madden.RoomWithAMoose

how would making another game based off the series quickly turn this into a madden?
