Upscaling is improving and the wii output might be conjured up to a very high res on near future HDtv's. But it doesn't matter much.
The PC is going to walk away with best looks.
The Wii owners are ok with lesser resolution.
Higher resolution won't make the games as pretty as x360/ps3 games.

It's just good news for Wii owners who were planning on buying an expensive tv in the upcoming years. Which is 2 people.

What would be the point of having games on the wii that are on par with the PS1 as far as graphics go in 1080p? It just makes all the boxes and sharp jaggie edges easier to see on your tv. Its like taking a computer from the 1980s and hooking it up to a 20in hd moniter. It makes no sense. The wiiwii can't even play dvds for that matter so it has no use.
