Actually those are all good games. Gears of War, on the best new ip's this gen. Forza Motorsport, easily beats Gran Turismo in score and quality. Halo, do I really have to say anything? Alan Wake, one of the best atmospheric shooter available.

Why anyone with the choice between PC and 360 would ever go 360 is beyond me...

Sure, if money is tight, and you simply can't get enough to warrent a PC (low paying job + bills, you have kids, or jobless due to schooling, etc), I can understand. But money aside, it just seems like a no-brainer to me...

PC is good, but there are hundreds of games that look promising and only go to consoles. Lately the only games pc has seen is rts, fps and mmorpg's. (it's a fact that the total number of mmorpgs is bigger than the total number of women)

Consoles, get a little bit of everything. But the only good thing on consoles is the games, because the hardware sucks, the software sucks, and the multiplayer its kind of meh.

PS3 has the same backward compatibility issue. So, it's not a great difference after all

They both have that same issue but the exclusive titles available for the platform are superior to those on the 360. But when it comes to memorable exclusive titles, this gen has been lacking compared to the Ps2 and GCN.

One thing is that backward compatibility is a b*tch. I mean, I bet that microsoft will cut backward compatibility on the next console just so that they can win a few more money from hd remakes (f*cking greedy companies) and there are two things: 1) I am an old school gamer, so I like to play this generation games and the last generation games. 2) I don't want to buy games, which will be unable to play on my future console. With PC I don't need to worry, because compatibility is everywhere. So, it is a hard choice if you ask me. I appreciate your help :-)

tjricardo089

What appeals to you in games like Allan Wake, and other exclusives is the first question you need to ask yourself, and if you can find that you can search up alternatives on the PC.. Because the PC is always getting many multiplats, and exclusives, i couldn't ignore.

But what i would do, if i were you? I would save up some more money, and do both. The only reason why you would be pressured with choosing between either is lack of patience if you have a job, right? I can't think of any other reason, and i would definitely not limit my self to one choice, ever, if i have the possibility. I would go all out, life's short. Get both slices of gaming.

Maybe they find the 360 games better suited for them and don't want to spend a fortune for upgrades?

Just a thought :)

My brother has a ps3, but I just don't like playing it. The fan noise makes me go mad. Still God of War 3, is my favourite game :)

Some at Medium/High specs.

But Just Cause 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Metro 2033, Crysis 2... those are rough to play.

I am the same way, nothing against owning both though! I just don't really have time to play games on two consoles and on top of it afford to buy them. One console does a pretty good job of keeping me busy and satisfies my gaming craving well. Although at the end of this gen when prices have dropped I will more than likely finally the others.

If you have a PC that's somewhat decent in terms of hardware, you could probably get away with current PC and some upcoming games on Low-Mid settings. In that case, a 360 would probably give you much more freedom in choices of games. If you have a PC that's weak for gaming, it would have to come down to your preference for games and frequency of online. If you're a big online gamer, are you willing to pay the monthly/yearly amount? Which library is looks better? Would you be fine if the next Xbox came out within a few years and was backwards compatible?

Well that sucks.. I guess it would depend on how good your current rig. is. so it can handle itself if you find any game on it that may appeal to you (you never know). I'm planning on buying a PS3 for like 5 console exclusives i've ben drooling to play for months now.

I don't know, it depends how much you want to play 360's exclusives, i guess. Its your money afterall. You also have to keep in mind that there's a lot of Kinect titles coming out for it than anything, but it'll have the multiplatforms like always (though you know those are played best on the PC).. but there's a lot of great console exclusives like Bayonetta and Vanquish.

Get a 360.. a lot of console exclusives like RDR, Bayonetta etc., and you missed out on a ton of 360 exclusives to keep you occupied for years. You got nothing to loose.

Since you are an old school gamer PC is the place to be, especially with Steam which reminded me of great old games like Max Payne 1 & 2.

TC, I hear ya. But I would upgrade the PC. As a life long console gamer, and I am talking from early gaming as I am almost 40, I am looking to build a rig. I had an ok PC in '08 and played a few PC classics like Deus Ex and Hitman, but I am trying to PC by next gen. I think next gen, the multiplat mkt is even broader than this gen. That's my two cents anyway.

The PC is awesome, but the 360 is aswell. But who knows if the 360 games of today will be playable on the consoles of tomorrow?
