It was news to me, kind of surprisedthat both Halo3 and CoD4 big time shooters aren't even 720p. Oh well I don't care I'm playing it on an SDTV :p

Mass Effect runs natively at 720p and often has 2x AA. At least, so I've heard from multiple reliable sources, and checking out jaggies in screenshots seems to support what they're saying.

You both right, I hate to see people call other people's news old, I mean Its not as if I am gonna search through yesterdays thread to see if the news was already posted, HOWEVER, I've seen this news about a week or two ago so I am gonna have to with Ragashahs.

A day "old" is ok, But a week is bad considering this is a gamer forum so this sorta news would have been discussed the same day it was known of

I fail to see the problem here.

Playing it on a 1080p 42" LCD and on a 12-foot 720p projector screen, I must say, it _does_ make a difference. the 600p makes the game look a lot worse than the PC version.

In fact, with poor AA it looks incredibly ugly :(

i can play it at true 1080p on the pc so i dont care..

all these great looking games on the consoles are going to be low res compared to what the pc can handel..

cod3 on the ps3 was around that res too...

Where are people getting this misconception that multiplatform games have to run at the same resolution? Changing resolution would be one of the simplest parts of converting a game from one system to the other, and it would not be at all unusual for the 360 version to run at one resolution and the PS3 to run at another.

The fact that they're the same suggests that each system's graphical capabilities are similar. (Although there are plenty of other factors as well.)

I could live with 30FPS. Even though I dont think the FPS would drop that low with such a minor increase in resolution. In reality it probably would still be above 40FPS and be solid.

Remember when we used to play games and not count pixels?

Yes but its a multiplate. So 360 get exclusives that are as good quality as multiplates(worse for halo 3 since so many switched from that to cod4). ps3 still has its exclusives running in 720p and 1080p

it is accurate...the same guys found out that Halo 3 was 640p (which bungie confirmed) so their method obviously isnt problematic at all.

Didn't IW have a seperate team for COD4?? Meaning they could of had the game at 720p but they didn't. I wonder why that is? I bet it has NOTHING to do with the 360 since they're were seperate devs working on each version.
