Call Of Duty 4 Ticks Me Off!

What is the deal with CoD 4 spreading so many misconceptions about guns? You wonder why people think guns are the f*cking antichrist when you have people like IW spreading so much misinformation. Fifty calibur shots in the chest and they dont go down? Whats up with that? Cant they add even a little realism. I just want a tactical FPS but all I find is games like this. If you get shot in the chest, you arent just going to keep running and heal up. Youre going to bleed out all over the place. Running will just make it worse. The Machine guns are also horribly screwed. Fires at someone from 10 yrds away. I die from their M16. Riiiiiiiight.

I have Operation Flashpoint but I cant install it because theres not enough room on my comp :(

If that were the case i supposed CoD 4 would be a much more awesome game where 1 shot may completely incapacitate you. Oh, but you're nto dead, just helplessly prone on the ground. You also may have to wait, in-game, several hours for medics/help to arrive. A few more hours on a vehicle, then maybe spend a few in-game days in a feld hospital. Then you can conitnue playing.

Also halo 3 is misinforming people about plasma grenades, the plasma would burn through a persons flesh, not just stick to them. I demand justice damn it!

that's not true. realism to a certain extent is fun. If you go past that limit, it will become too "real" and take away the fun from the game mechanics. People with a machine gun don't want to die by a person with a crappy pistol. Dieing with few shots is the kind of realism that makes these kind of games fun, not 1 shot with a pistol.

i also have the same problem with the 50 cal and i have stopping power on and they still sometimes dont go down.also have the same problem with m16 i shoot someone a foot away with deep inpact n stopping power and they dont diehello12367890

perhaps you need to shoot from the hip instead of down the sights when your that close to a person

i understand your point, what with how Call of Duty is supposed to be a war simulator or something along the lines of that, but usually realism doesn't mean fun. If it were, then people wouldn't like halo because none of those guns even exist; no one would like star wars because of the aliens and light sabers and the force (even though it could be out there...somewhere); or thousands of other games that are unrealistic.

If they wanted to make star wars realistic then all of the space fights should've been muted as sound can't travel through space, but who wants to watch those without the laser blasting sound, the same applies with CoD 4, it just wouldn't be fun if you died in one hit.

A 50 caliber bullet doesn't just kill you....it blows a practical cavern in your chest or makes your head explode.

Similar situation with buckshot. You don't just die. You lost most of your head.

Um....pictures abound. Look for them, please. We can find demos of a .22 rifle all the way up to a .50 cal rifle penetrating kevlar and a half dozen cinder blocks. Infinity Ward can't plead ignorance with how much obvious research went into the game....it's a question of entertainment value.

For the guy that made a joke about being downed and having to wait for a medic to respond to your wounds....that's exactly the case in Battlefield 2, except that revival is instantaneous and it takes more like 1 minute for them to reach you, not 1 hour.

That rules out Red Orchestra...I love that game so much. MOST REALISTIC FPS I have EVER played...check it out sometime.

M16 is the most overpowered assault rifle ever. It's ridiculous how good this gun is.... but anyway, on the topic: Get over it. No game is going to as realistic as you want it to be. It's called BALANCE in multiplayer. IW obviously doesn't want to overpower a particular build. dkhw

The only thing I hate about the game is the perk MARTYRDOM!

"uhhh, I got shot and dying...but before I die I'll pull the pin on my grenade first and get a cheap kill out of it."

I headshot the guy and boom...I died running from a grenade explosion.

I really hate that perk, especially when you're trying to retake an APC in close quarters.

Other than that, the game is okay for me.

1st of all it's just a game, relax. 2nd of all I think you just suck period.

Quit getting owned in COD4 and go practice racking up some kills. The next person I see whining about COD4, is really just going to make me think that that person loves to be the rebel and go against whats hot.

COD4 MP = god awful fun. If you want a real life simulator, go find a recruit. They dont stop swarming you in NYC.
