Call of Duty 4 vs Killzone 2

I would have compared KZ 2 to an actual gameplay pic of COD 4 but there are none.

Well since Killzone 2 is coming in 2008, I expect it to blow everything released so far, away.

People that argue Gears>KZ2 or KZ2>Gears are kind of arguing a moot point.

Its a 2008 game...IT SHOULD LOOK BETTER THAN GEARS...But the way KZ2 is being hyped I dont think it will satisfy that bad taste left in people mouths of the CG trailer in 2005, if its just marginally better. It better make my jaw drop like the first time I saw Gears.

Nevertheless I will be picking up KZ2 for my PS3 because so far it looks great and many advancements have been made in the FPS genre since KZ1...So I know it wont be a POS like KZ1 was. I bet multiplayer on this baby will rock.

As for COD4...well I will be picking up the 360 version as any media we have seen so far of it has been on a 360 dev kit...and frankly it looks great. I believe I will have more fun in online multiplayer in COD4...just based on my past experiences with the COD franchise...

I've seen 3 videos of Call of Duty 4 and 1 video of Killzone 2.......sorry COD4 has nothing on KZ2.

Killzone2 had a much better overall presentation IMO. I still can't get over how realistic the animations are compared to EVERY game I've seen so far (out of all FPS games). Bioshock, COD4, Halo3......they all are second to KZ2. This is coming from someone who never played the original Ps2 game....I'm going only from what I'm seeing.

We won't really know until they are all released and that won't be until sometime in 08 since KZ2 has an 08 date now.

Both games look identical.

COD gameplay = Top Notch

Killzone gameplay = CRAP/bottom of the barrel

cod 4 has shown nothing but ingame and had a live demo at ms e3 conference. ur denial over the game seems to answer your own question over which will be better.

best lighting = CoD4 by a mile

best textures = CoD 4 by default b/c killzone was all low rez textures hidden by darkness and poor lighting

best gamplay = hard to say as of now, but going by the past CoD series is hard to touch. Also, CoD 4 runs at 60fps, I highly doubt Killzone will hit that mark.

It will be interesting to see if killzone can find a way to make playing it as fun as talking about it.

Actually, all the journalists pretty much unanimously agree that the lighting in Killzone is the most impressive of any game to date. Textures in KZ also looked a bit better while the game was in motion... but I'm comparing gameplay vids so it could be due to effects.

Why are you lemmings comparing a the footage of COD4 (which is nearing release) , to that of the confirmed pre-alpha trailer of killzone?
If thats pre-alpha, we dont know how long ago that was made and sony and guerilla may just be saving the current build for another gaming event.
And even so, COD4 is MULTIPLATFORM !!!!!!
As in its coming to both ps3 and 360. So cows get to experience it anywayz.

You should be comparing halo 3 and killzone 2, and KZ graphics and gritty gameplay (in my opinion) trumps halo 3's.
Of course their different art****, but the animations in the current halo 3 trailer looked nothing nearly as good as the ones in KZ.

OH and last but not least, gameplay wise and graphics wise, crysis will crush them all.
But halo 3 will crush them in sales

Funny, b/c 1up said that Gears still looks better than Killzone. All I have to go by is the HD vid of Killzone, and what I saw did not have the best lighting of any game. Cod4 on the other hand had some amazing lighting effects, especially the shadows.

If you can't see the amount of low rez textures in the killzone vid then you don't know what you are looking at, sorry.

Maybe killzone looks a lot better in person during gameplay? all the press is saying that the gameplay demo of Halo 3 blew the trailer out of the water and is what MS should have shown at the end instead.

But that trailer does NOT look nearly as amazing as all the hardcore cows are making it out to be.

So far, the only people I've seen that don't think the KZ is the best looking game after Crysis are die hard 360 and Halo fanboys.

Every Cow thinks it looks awesome (and better than Gears), as well as most sheep, and quite a few lemmings as well.
