Call of Duty: 8 Beta out now on Xbl Marketplace!

Well, that's what it seems like. Crysis 2's multiplayer seems like a carbon copy of MW2's. Bringing in all the bugginess and game mechanics.

Seriously, if you stripped away the slick visuals and the name we have CoD 8 right now. Here's hoping the SP turns out better like it should.

just played it a little bit and yeah it has some similarities but doesn't every FPS MP

if something is successful it gets copied. bummer for me since i'm not a fan but for those that are bonus.

I don't care, thats not the point. the word killstreak actually comes up on the screen just like it does in CoD. the MP in that game got changed so much, it got CoD'd. people die with little effot and every little kill you have points popping up on the screen......just like CoD.

Really now ? I play Blackops everyday, and Crysis 2 feels nothing like a call of duty game.

Half of us cant even play it, it crashes when loading a match.

Err, Crysis 2 plays nothing like COD in terms of gameplay...more like killzone 2 (in terms of weight and feel). As for upgrades/perks or whatever, yeah it's similar.

There is a lot of camping going on with the cloaking, but once you figure out their strategy you will own those noobs lol. But they do get annoying though, why play a game if all your going to do is camp. Its pathetic how much people suck at game.

I've played 19 matches so far, and I've got to say it isn't. If you don't know how to use your suit in Crysis 2, you lose. If you don't know which add-ons to put on your armor, you lose.

That, and the game looks better, the killstreaks aren't even close to as abusive as the Call of Duty ones and it has a much better flow, with the sliding, power-jumping, air striking and all that.

Shotgun's terrible. You need to really get close to the person, and if he has armor on you need to take two shots. Scar has pretty decent range and hit-rate, with the bonus of having a silencer to equip.

Exactly. The fact that it isn't generic just got enhanced by a killcam I got by air striking someone from the building above him. F***ing awesome.

It's a joke that gamers even compare this to Killzone 3, the screen tearing alone totally discredits the development team in my opinion. GET REAL!

Not in the same vein as "omg you got 2 kills have a mega rocket launching machinegun biplane."

Can't play the Crysis 2 beta since I lack an xbox, but I wouldn't be surprised if the multiplayer felt like COD with a nanosuit. Hugely taking inspiration from COD is just something that's too commonplace in non-MP focused games with multiplayer on consoles, and it's kinda annoying.
