Well this "fixed" this issue and broke the game in other ways.

I don't play PvP anymore, and thankfully PvE crossplay shit like this isn't even an issue.

The question you should be asking yourself is why your fellow Hermits need aim assist when they have wall hacks, radar hacks and other actual cheats illegally activated.

They don't need it, they use them to cheat. These aren't built in features. Controller is worse for any sort of aiming, this is clear. It's inferior for shooters.

First, they're punishing one platform for their chosen input device, and it's something that is included in the game. So basically they're saying "We included this feature but you can't use it"

Second, they're punishing another platform for not being as good as another platform.

Solution?

1. Let people play how they want with the included options.

2. Expect more from folks that use controllers.

3. Either remove entirely aim assist, or let everyone use it.

And let's focus more on hacks and exploits than on folks using an included feature.

Once again anti-piracy and anti-cheating implementation does little to nothing to impact pirates and cheaters, and only serves to inconvenience the legitimate consumer.

Drama queen I would be if it wasn't true, but Hermits have a whole magnitude of cheats, they use a controller input cheat that gives aim assist (even though I keep hearing mouse and keyboard is best) to trick the game into thinking people are using a controller when they're not, they're still using a K & M just with controllers aim assist.

Hermits are the worst cheaters in online video games, that's not being a drama queen, that's just a fact.

You're going to have more cheaters when you have several times more players, games that are more competitive than console games, and a lot more of said games. Scenes that are taken more seriously with money on the line, and again a lot more of them with more players.

It's like complaining that professional sports league has more people juicing than a 5th grade softball league. 😅🤣

There are more cheaters on PC because PC is an open platform, that's why. It's also the same reason it has way more pirates.

But also the reasons I listed. No one really cares for competitive gaming on consoles compared to PC. It's going to have more cheaters as the bastion of online gaming.

PC has more cheaters, but it's nothing insane.

The rate of cheaters just isn't enough to stop PC from being the premiere online gaming platform. Just look at E-Sports or normie competitive gaming, it's like 99% PC. If cheating was such a huge problem you would think they would move to XB or PS, but they don't. Because it's just not that common, like I haven't come across a cheater in months for example.

Having your game ruined once every few months due to a cheater on PC isn't going to make you go to a platform that doesn't even have your game/genre, or has a tiny fraction of the players, games, genres, esports, performance, etc for online.
