A game like CoD is beneath us hardcore elite gamers so nobody mentions it.

They're scared to death of RDR 2. That's why they pushed it up a month from its usual release date.

A new Call of Duty, like that's a big surprise.

The last handheld COD was Black Ops declassified, I don't think anyone wants another game like that.

5 1/2 hour corridor-linear scripted-to-death campaign, featuring some celebrity likeness plastered on a character that will have about five minutes of screen time.

Gimmicky multiplayer.

Zombie mode.

I love how this board acts like they are above COD. COD has been the best selling game every year for a decade. We often times see 2 COD games in the year-end NPD charts.

COD is still king. It’s SW and boards like it that are dying.

The Titanfall killer! As it took everything they brought to the table and claimed it their own lol. Also "more of the same" and will wait for a sale, not buying it launch day. I wish Titanfall 2 was this big when it was released :(

BO3 was the last CoD I bought so I agree. Treyarch are my cool devs for the CoD games but that's about it. Gonna put this on my wish list when I see it for sale.

Absolutely no surprise that there will be a new game in the series in 2018. It has basically been a yearly release since 2003.

Blops3 was piss poor and I doubt this will be any different. I will be amazed though it treyarch can make a campaign that's actually worse then blops3, which had us fighting birds and a tree at the end.

@vfighter: Agreed. Black Ops 3 campaign was absolute shit. One of the worst campaigns I have played in any AAA shooter. Imagine yourself in the frozen forest.... LOL

COD sales and popularity down. 2009 was the peak when MW2 was best selling game.

beside Metro Exodus will also release in fall. and that game alone own both COD and BF when it comes to quality.

I hope White House ban this series.

I like the BLOP series of COD, although I'll admit I had trouble enjoying BLOP3

not interested, only picked up WW2 because it was one of the first few games with an XB1X patch ready at release, but overall just as bland as ever

Kind of wonder why, were sales down of latest game? Come to think of it, we had a pretty packed 4th quarter last year. Maybe they don't want a repeat of that and are stepping their game out ahead of the competition this time around. Seems like a release date war going on. I wonder how this might alter release date plans for other games shooting for 4th quarter releases this year.

I'm looking forward to it. I only ever play the Treyarch games. I enjoyed BLack Ops 3 and I don't mind saying so as I wouldn't be caught dead identifying myself as "hardcore". It's cringe city. I only play the campaigns in these games once and mostly play multiplayer and zombies. We casuals enjoy our games. It must suck being a miserable hardcore gamer and hating almost everything.

Probably get this eventually. Don't think I've bought any of the new CODs in the past couple years though, aside from the Modern Warfare Remaster.

Yeah apart from the new War mode COD: WWII tried to be as much like every other COD as possible.

Sledgehammer claimed a return to roots. But I didn't see one as this game still plays the same as any modern COD with your scorestreaks and your red dot sights (which make zero sense in a WWII setting)

Not planning on getting BO4, another lame modern shooter. MIght get WaW Remastered if that comes out.

I look forward to it. BO3 was a lot of fun. Still play all three. WWII is far less interesting (except the War mode is pretty fun). Treyarch know how to make good maps and a fun environment that never gets old.

Most likely not, but do keep in mind that Nintendo versions of CoD are always announced much later than the other versions so it's not ruled out 100% until someone says so.

supposedly treyarch will release WaW remastered as a bonus to black ops 4. like infinite warefare had MW remaster.

and switch might get the WaW remaster but maybe not blops 4.

I doubt COD will get anywhere near the scale or graphical fidelity of Battlefield.

Treyarch COD games are the ones I get. I have World at War, Black Ops 1, 2, and 3 all on Xbox One so I will get this one as well.

I will admit the campaign in blops 3 was god awful, and the zombies campaign was even worse. Multiplayer was ok, and zombies was not as good as any of the previous Black Ops. That said I still got hours of enjoyment out of the game.

I will give 4 a chance

NO thanks. I had my share of the Blops series. With Blops 2 being the advent of it's demise. Blops 3 was just shit.

CODWaW and then the story should have ended with Blops1.

world at war was good game. probably last good COD game.

yeah. compare WW2 to 10 year old World at war. that game was dark, voilence, and doesnot hold much hand compare to WW2 which is QTE simulator.

also compare d day landing from COD2 to CODWW2. one show only cutscene other give you to play/

If the MP is like the goofy but insanely fun BLOPS3 I am all in.
