YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!, the classic cod was one of the best in the series, no bs perks and just pure goodness of gun play. I'm actually quite excited about this.

i saw some website say the game was in HD... does that mean it was remastered like the GoW collection?MethodManFTW
Is this real?
Well, just so you know, they don't need to remaster it ...at least to GOW1&2 levels. It's an old PC game. That means it was already running at high resolutions and consoles have caught up to 2003, however, there have been tweaks, and balancing for our HDTV's and controls.
Although $15 is criminal for ACTIVISION to charge for such an old game, but console folks will pay I guess.
i saw some website say the game was in HD... does that mean it was remastered like the GoW collection?MethodManFTWYup, it is. It looks nice and plays nice although you can't run and it feels weird. I am glad i have the Hardened edition for MW2 so i got this for free :D. I say, its worth it for the nostalgic factor this game has and it probably has the hardest veteran out of all the other COD games.

2. I noticed that. Do you happen to know a way to change the difficulty setting?
3. The original B-K & Zelda games are old, but they still rock.
i own the original for pc, i spent so much time on that game, it will be nice to play it again online actually, i could get cod 2 or 3 i don't think they have perks. I'm downloading the game right now praying they have the expansion and base assault.Consolites are actually playing the game? Wow... unexpected.

2. Don't play on Hardened or Veteran on your First Playthrough. It's REDICULOUSLY hard.

wow, now that it finished downloading, that was dissapointing, i figured they'd at least have the butter smooth controls as the last games :(
i waited a long time for this only to be somewhat disappointed. almost no one plays online. probably cause the game is region locked i think, but i don't know too much about that. and the graphics... look like CoD on PS2 graphics. the original pc version looks much, much better.

I mean, that game is just...Look, it's not bad, but it felt like a punch to the face after waiting Eight Years. But I got over it a LONG time ago, so don't bring it up again.
But I'll ask again, is there a way to change the difficulty setting?
Well they could've updated it with CoD 2 Graphics, grenade indicator, telling where enemies are via radar, etc.i waited a long time for this only to be somewhat disappointed. almost no one plays online. probably cause the game is region locked i think, but i don't know too much about that. and the graphics... look like CoD on PS2 graphics. the original pc version looks much, much better.

Maybe the regenitive health system to make things less cheap (British Bridge defense and Battleship Tibitz comes to mind).

i would have happy if they just implemented the aiming controls from cod 2, otherwise it feels a bit off trying to aim.[QUOTE="gmc2u_64"]Look, I don't care any more. As far as I'm concerned, Rare is DEAD to me until they sort up their problems.

Defensive much? Are you seriously that worked up over a video game? Maybe a little counseling and Prozac should be in your future. Just a suggestion.
Ouch. Did I not PERFECTLY say that I got OVER IT?I might need to call a MOD...

It's not the part about you being over it that I was caught up over; it was the kind of harsh, bitter nature with which you told the poor guy to not bring it up again. And then you call a game a punch in the face? Um...yeah. And then you threaten to call a mod? I'm sorry, but this is too humorous to be serious.[QUOTE="gmc2u_64"]Ouch. Last year, I was expressing my disapointment of this "Sequel" rather civil-like, then HE butted in and insulted me and those who were disapointed, then arguments ensured. So he's not the victam.2. It's an expression of how disapointed I was.

I'm sorry, but no matter how you try to skew it, you still just basically barked at him very bitterly; I found your bitterness very rude. You didn't handle the situation with any sort of diplomacy, and that's not my fault or his...it's yours. You snapped at him, and I felt inclined to point out that it was unnecessary. Oh, and my comment about counseling and Prozac was just, as you put it yourself, "an expression".

So, I'm sorry if I'm "Bitter", but that argument needs to DIE.

Then let it die. He said something, and you could have ignored the whole thing and I'm betting most people would have read it over without even giving it a second thought. I'll get off your back, sure, but I still think you owe the guy an apology for barking at him, and I think you owe me an apology for threatening to call mods because I pointed out how unnecessary it was.
Yeah, this game DOES need some patching to make it better (Like FAIRER difficulty). The game is terrible avoid it like the plague. They didnt even bother attempting to fix it up for consoles. Controls are horrible, and well no they did not remaster it in the slightest sense. I feel robbed, and i got it with the Hardened edition of MW2.

Sadly, Activision's probably going to make thousands on this release, maybe even a million.
What do you expect from Craptivision? they didn't upgrade cod4 version 2 much either... Bobby Koticks goes by cheapest possible way to milk guilable gamers the hardest while having to fork over very little to do it.The game is terrible avoid it like the plague.
