Yeah man because putting in my email address so I can see what it's all about totally means I'm going to pay money for it...Gee thanks, now they might just make it required for play.

At the very least, insanely quotable. :P

Yeah man because putting in my email address so I can see what it's all about totally means I'm going to pay money for it... You didn't read the EULA, did you? :oGee thanks, now they might just make it required for play.
Nah I didn't read it, they don't even have one as far as I can see, they'll have one when I send out the actual Beta codes and login info etc I imagine
Gee thanks, now they might just make it required for play.

Beta = free so everyone wants in... especially when it involves CoD.JohnF111if its free than it doesnt surprise me at all so it isnt as big of a deal...yet.
Beta = free so everyone wants in... especially when it involves CoD.JohnF111I swear to God Activision could put out a statement saying the next CoD game was free for everyone and there would still be people bashing it. The Beta is mostly of the free features anyway I think, they might throw in some of the paid stuff though depending on what that actually is, still sounds like the paid content is maps etc anyway and the beta is for Black Ops so I don't really see how that would work.
If this catches on...I'll be buying much less games and will probably play more single player. Thank god for Valve.NanoMan88
Valve is terrible and overrated there I said it...
How dare u sir, they are the one company everyone should model them self after O_O
I only play Modern warfare and i play them because they are so damn good and FUN. Very intense good single-player every second. I'm tired of 2nd World war shooters so i dont buy the other CoDs tho.

Its a new service, it is not game specific so if(when) Activision release another 20 CoD's you still only pay for one subscription to Call of Duty: Elite...

Agreed, it's funny that they went from completely free DLC to an update that has a random item drop that you can't open without paying $3. That's a **** move.

if the CoD crowed wants to get ripped off and milked let them, while us other guys will be playing better quality games w/o our wallets and bank accounts getting owned

And the stuff they pulled with Turtle Rock and DOTA 2. I can't believe people actually defend Valve. They still make great games, and asides from TF2, they've not really ruined any of their other franchises (Well, I guess they have now they've gotten rid of Turtle Rock-super excited to see what they do next by the way) so they aren't too bad. I suppose they have a sort of unique place though since they are their own publisher, which means any ****ty decisions they make is all their own doing.

Up past Orange Box sure but after that not so much at all.

And the stuff they pulled with Turtle Rock and DOTA 2. I can't believe people actually defend Valve. I'm not a PC gamer. I got Portal 2 on PS3 and that game is brilliant. I loved the single player's story and the co-op's puzzles. But then I heard that all DLC would be free (with the exception of cosmetics). So I think they're the least greedy dev (that I buy from anyway).

Up past Orange Box sure but after that not so much at all.
