I mean, Battlefield 1 went to World War 1, and the French are DLC. But COD: IW, so far, feels like a less appealing COD: AW/Titanfall game. Like, we're done with the whole wall-running and double jumping. It's not special anymore. And this game is exactly that. That one game that still runs with the shit that has been run into the ground too fast.

It's boring, bland, and it looks horrible. But yeah, yay 60FPS. This was the year COD could've jumped away from the futuristic stuff and doubled down along with Dice to deliver a shooter under a different setting.

But it didn't. I really like Call of Duty games, but this one, already, seems boring. At least playing through MW1: Remastered was fun. I hope MW2 is next.

Battlefield all the way

After that Rising Storm 2

Call me when Activision sells the Modern Warfare remaster for an acceptable price.

Also the butchered Raven Software does a better service to COD than IW ever could.

I always forget there is COD game coming out. COD popularity died. 2009 was peak. Infinit warfare whatever should never been done.

My question is, why do people even buy CoD anymore, personally just rent it for a few days and get what you want out of it without giving these people a cent.

Cod being innovative is about as likely as Trump being politically correct.

Not surprised. Sony ruins every game they have third party deals with.

I dislike the path COD took after blops II.

but people claiming this new COD will flop/not do well are kidding themselves, the beta had an insane amount of people streaming it on twitch, I can see another hit for IW.

I thought MW2 was the best, great setting and more variety in perks and killstreaks than MW1. Don't really care for the robot stuff and wall running from the new ones.

There's no way they're not gonna make it available for purchase on its own by late 2016, or sometime in the first few months of 2017. Too much money they'd be missing out on if they don't.

That's an interesting point, never really thought about that

Destiny- Big Flop reception wise

COD Advanced Warfare/ Black Ops 3- Series has been pretty down with the past 3 entries, including Ghosts

Batman- Was fine, had the big PC launch issue

Star Wars Battlefront- Was rushed, did not deliver much

Street Fighter V- Good now I've heard, was missing lots at launch. Same can be said for Killer Instinct though

No Man's Sky- yeah.......

No one will agree with me but anyways, what I like about Call of Duty is that the developers are capable of giving us offline bots in multiplayer mode. It is seriously irritating how many developers refuse to program AI for bots. If you don't have internet you can't even access a big chunk of the game. I'm never paying for internet on consoles so this bugs me. I'll do nothing more than use the free trials. Regardless, even if you do pay it would still be nice to practice with bots. Why is this laziness acceptable? Internet only games are the bane of my video game existence. God Bless COD.

So by something "different" you mean something the same as Dice did with BF1? Makes sense.

Vietnam, WW2, alternate history, Western, ...

Literally any setting is more interesting than sci-fi for shooters these days.

Ok, there are some shooters that can pull off Sci-fi really well.

It's just funny that Sony made a deal with Activision regarding COD, after COD was already over it's high point.

And now MS has this deal with EA regarding Battlefield 1 promotion, and now that franchise seems at its peak. With Battlefield 1 having the most watched game trailer of all time, and the most played beta of all time.

I watched a couple streams of it, since I don't have a console to check it out. Yeah, it looks like the same old CoD--garbage included.

The only real positive was that it was 60 fps, but that's not surprising. It's hard to not achieve 60 fps on an engine that's from 1999.

Right? lol. I had no plans on buying the game but glad I got to try out the beta just to confirmed what I thought was true anyways. Actually, it's even worse than I thought it would be.

Infinity ward was once a quality studio.

But now you are better off buying a call of duty game from Treyarch, Sledgehammer... or even Raven software.

mw3 and ghosts were both solid games that ran and functioned as intended. thats more than i can say for raven, dice, and a multitude of other studios out there.

i enjoy the inclusion of bots as well. i refuse to let my kids play online or touch the sp in these games so its nice that i can let them enjoy a few matches with bots here and there. they were pretty awful in the original black ops but they've done a great job with them since.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help the quality of the game.

Game is super bland and has the same mechanics of battlefield dating back to 1942, which are probably the worst mechanics when it comes to modern fps.

@ninjaxams: Modern Warfare remaster (made by Raven) >>>>>> Infinite Warfare (Infinity Ward)

You call me delusional but do you even know what I'm talking about ?

Raven was absolutely gutted when Singularity flopped, and then Wolfenstein flopped...

Meanwhile Infinity Ward is a studio with over 200 employees.

Ghosts and Infinite Warfare are absolute shit. And they get beaten by a company that is a shell of its former self.

Think about that next time you reply and call someone delusional.

What I considered different for this series was Advanced Warfare. A completely different movement system that changed the flow and feel of Call of Duty.

Then Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare came along and simply stuck with the status quo. I was pretty disappointed. I hope Sledgehammer sticks with and expands upon AW. I hope they don't just follow the crap laid out by Treyarch.

You don't. Which is what I would have expected for all games. I think it's weird that you can't even so much as launch multiplayer mode and run around by yourself in games such as Halo without a live acount.

butthurt much? have you played infinite warfare? do you have access to the ps4 beta or a special member of the press because if not you should probably shut your mouth there.

second, raven is remastering a product made by someone else, some of whom still reside on infinity wards team. i'd say yea, chances are a remastered cod4 is going to be better than any current of future cod, that game is a masterpiece and borderline perfection. thats a pretty damn easy job they have compared to creating an entirely new product from the ground up, especially given how talented og iw was. obviously new iw isn't on par with old. point is (to your non point i might add), new iw had far and away a more difficult job ahead of them. i mean your saying that a smaller group of guys remastering an already established product, one that is widely considered to be one of the finest shooters ever created is more than likely succeeding over a dev that is building something from the ground up? well no shit, color me surprised. sad thing is your judging ravens talent off of being able to refine someone elses work. either that or by they're past releases, either of which is absolutely asinine. you wanna talk about quake 4? didn't think so.

idk if your just delusional, a fanboy, or a hater at this point. your absolutely wrong though, i can tell you that.

Funny, I wrote off COD years ago but this one actually has me interested in its setting. I don't care to go back to the multiplayer but I'd be willing to try it for the single player campaign. And yet, this is the game everyone decided to get a stick up their butts about.

I mean, some people complain they're all the same, but here they are taking it in another direction and people are complaining about that too; sheesh, guess there's nothing they can do that won't upset people. Nonetheless, I still expect it to sell phenomenally.

No, each year people find problems with COD. I remember people complaining about Advanced Warfare and Blops 3 trying too much to be like Titanfall.

There is no such thing as a shared opinion in the COD community, it's still pretty big.

I always really dig the single player of COD games, they're well done. The game is going to sell (as usual) because it doesn't really have competition. We hear the same thing every year; COD is dying, COD is on its last feet.

Also, BF1 is a different game. I doubt it affects its sales as much as people think.

Just got done playing the beta. Enough with the future. I'm a huge Call of Duty fan but I can't wait for Battlefield 1. Thank god Call of Duty is bringing back Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer. Which i will play. No more going into the future!! Go back into the past.
