u suprised? i like the game, but its no different from 2 to be all honest, i like the game......alot, but i'm also not blind...7.5/8 in my book. Battlefield 3 seemed like they really put alot of effort into theyre product this year, though its not perfect....its a very good game. in my eyes battlefield edged it, i own and like both though, just stating my opinion.

MW3 cant even compete with BF3. Score was inflated. Real score is around 7 (MW3's)
So the same reviewer gave BF3 and MW3 a 8.5. I get a feeling that's so to prevent rage and more wars between fanboys. I hope Gamespot have a little video in which they grill Chris Watters on which game he'd prefer to play. Although that's unlikely.
Killzone 3 - 8.8 Resistance 3 - 8.5 BF3 - 8.5 MW3 - 8.5 Haha, Gamespot doesn't really like FPS. :POil_rope_bombs
I think it's more that GS (and most gamers) are just getting tired of them.
But yeah mark this day folks. This is where the CoD series starts going downhill. An 8.5 is a perfectly good score, but this is CoD. A series that has consistently gotten a 9 or higher from the vast majority of game journalism sources. That being said an 8.5 says It's time for something new to step up and take the throne.

Not according to the line at gamestops midnight release lol. Most people careless about reviews. Especially on a game with this type of name behind it. I will say it's MW2 with a new coat of paint. But to me that's fine. It's still fun![QUOTE="keech"]

People need to move on faster rather than just sticking to 'the same old good trick'. I guess people dont like change.

Theres a saying you might not know and that is "If it ain't broke don't fix it", you can do changes here and there but a prime Example of don't change something is the Resident Evil series.
You have FPS copying CoD and you have CoD copying other FPS, thats fine as is as long as they do it right.
So, what, Halo: Anniversary is 2011's last shot for an FPS to score over a 9?
IndianaPwns39
Sadly it probably will score a 8.5

I'm trying to decide if a 10 year old game with a new engine out scoring all the other FPS games this year is either really awesome or really sad.

It's just basically a HD version of Halo CE, though I loved Halo CE. The only FPS I enjoyed this year are Bulletstorm and BF3, still on the fence for MW3 and Halo CE i'll ether pick it up when it goes around $20 or bite the dirt and buy one of my fav FPS ever even if its using a slight different engine.

You hate people because of this? It happens every generation. I personally don't care for COD because of its over-simplistic mp, instant gratification formula, and the developer failing to fix balance problems that even the dedicated fanbase want fixed. However, it is still a quality game.
I'm growing tired of what Reach offers online atm--bs sniper camping/betrayals. I'm debating between MW3 and BF3 as a change of pace.
Anways, the Giantbomb review was pretty accurate...
Or the fact that the FPS games this year have done almost nothing to innovate.[QUOTE="Oil_rope_bombs"]Killzone 3 - 8.8 Resistance 3 - 8.5 BF3 - 8.5 MW3 - 8.5 Haha, Gamespot doesn't really like FPS. :PXileLord

I don't think that was what he was saying.
Really, would anybody even notice if MW3 didn't exist, especially in a few months?

Did you not hear how many pre orders MW3 got?, it was insane.
As for what he said, there was a few FPS that I actually enjoyed this year so far, there was good ones, avg ones and you had DNF bad ones.

I've enjoyed most FPS games this year, I just haven't been particularly impressed by any of them. I did love Resistance 3's single player, hated the multiplayer. I also loved Battlefield 3's multiplayer, but the single player was abysmal. There just hasn't been this defining, great FPS this year and that's too bad considering there were so many of them.

Imagine having to play and review all those games and similair ones for the last few years, I'm pretty sure it's getting annoying at some point.
If I were a reviewer I would put a 7 or even lower to all those games since they are sticking to the same formula.Did you not hear how many pre orders MW3 got?, it was insane.

Again, nobody claimed it to be a poor game, but just that the genre has failed to really evolve that much. Apparently gamesites are now reporting the situation a little more accurately, which is only good for gamers.

I just realised how many FPS have came out this year (a boat load)
I enjoyed (overall): Crysis 2,Bulletstorm,BF3
I thought were so so: Rage and KZ3
I thought were awfull: DNF
I haven't played: MW3,Goldeneye reloaded,Halo CE 2011
It still outscored BF3 on Metacritic and soid more. The user ratings on Metacritic are 3.1 and 2.4, sounds like a lot of people are jealous of CoD's success. Haters gonna hate.

Well that is the hype train right there, to a T. I'm hoping sites do a BF3 vs MW3 thing. I want to pick one of them up, but I'm not sure which one.
