It appears as though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £54.99, just as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops both were, and that it will be available from 8th November 2011.

Good news, BF3 will be priced higher in Europe, at least.

I've got a peanut butter sandwich right here. Gonna get into it in a bit, right after I stop having a laughing fit at the idea of paying nearly $90 American for this game.

Because people are willing to pay more, it's only natural that Activision would raise the price.

Just buy it amazon for £42.91... you just need to know where to shop now every store will sell for MSRP

If I break it down into months instead of a flat value will that make it seem cheaper :P On topic. It's expected previous games sold at around that price also. The games print money.

Outrageous. People better make use of price comparison websites and not encourage Activision by buying the game at the full price. Remember, consumers vote with their wallets and if the demand is there, Activision will charge what they please. Here's a great site I use myself. It covers the US, the UK, and other territories. Hope it helps.

I ate some sausage. But all my cutlery was in the washer, so I used a kitchen knife and one of those things you poke at potatoes with.

I can never eat an entire loaf of bread before it starts getting old, but if you freeze it immediately you lose that freshness. Is there not yet a solution for this problem? When will science come to aid us? I'm actually kind of serious.

What I am surprised is that Activision hasn't decided to raise the price. Not like sales would dramatically drop off if they did.

So their RRP is £10 more than every other game on the market.

Effectively game prices will no doubt go up again cause of this if companies can see they are getting away with it.Essentially activision is everything wrong with gaming and capitalism.

For real though, why is everyone talking about the price of this game? Besides it being very popular, but every new game costs at $60. SO, what's all the fuss about? And for real, why is this the hottest topic on n4g? It doesn't make sense. Did some of us before this revealation expect it too cost higher or something? I thought we all know every new game costs 60 bucks.

True, The Best Turkey Sandwhiches are usually made after a Turkey Dinner. There's just more in the Sandwhich.

Not to mention The Bread and other Ingridients make the Sandwhich too.

the MSRP is a little higher than your average game in the UK... £49.99 compare to £54.99. But the average price you will find it at your game store, or amazon is £42.91 or £44.99. But people just make a big deal about it, apparently to talk about sandwiches :P

At first from the way the title of this topic sounded I thought they had raised it past $60. Glad to see that hasn't happened (yet).
