Well I managed to see both versions of COD 4 (I bought the PS3 version, and my friend bought 360) and both looked awesome! I couldn't really tell the difference. However, I thought the PS3 version looked alittle sharper in some places.

Shows you what rubbish certain comments are when people say the 360 is superior to PS3 in graphics etc. When developers get it right, PS3 is atleast equal to 360.

i'm not goin to youtube and im not goin to look for the links either, but several website voted the ps3 version of GTA 4 better than the 360. also burnout paradise was better on the ps3.

agree fanboys arent devs, but lets just for 1 second pretend that gamers just get a game and play/enjoy it without feeling the need of scanning screenshots segments or else analising gameplay vids to find the smallest of differences in order to claim which version is better...

I say, got both consoles and since i love COD4, got this game for both consoles... I use the same HDTV for both consoles and while playing i really cannot see any huge differences in how both versions look or play... so honestly i dont give much attention which version is better because

1) i got both consoles

2) got COD4 on both consoles and i have the exact equal amount of fun on both..

3) if there are a few more low rez textures on one version it surely wont do any harm to the game

4) I just dont waiste time analising vids/pics so i claim ownage on forums against blind fanboys..

All of this here is mainly opinion, people saying which will look better are saying what they want tp happen, not what will happen. I would like both to look the same, and Im sure the devs do too since if one version loooks worse it makes them look bad.

I dont care for your pics. How do you know the TV setting are the same? How do you iknow they are from the same TV? How do you know these are from consoles and not just a PC at different settings?

It could be that these are exeptions were the 360 does look better yes, but then there may be bits where the ps3 version looks better.

No, you proved mnothing, one pic will never prove anyhting, both versions are so similar it really makes no difference at all, I personally agree with malta1980. He has both versions and so will probably know better than all of us.

And anyway if the devs say they pretty much look the same, thats it. And really why does this all matter? Why did you actually go to the troule of getting those pics? For ownage? Its one pic, that could have come from a pro 360 site. So lets stop arguing over 2 games. Its really silly...

the beta is terrible (yes, ive played it -check my xfire id)

the tank is too powerful.

the bolt action rifles are basically useless.

Exactly. The only way you can really tell if by playing both yourself. You cant just take pics as fact. They are made by gamers, probably fanboys who want to make a certain console look better.

The pics clearly show that the Ps3 version have low res textures. There's no other possible interpretation. And changing the console names would be a plain lie....

well thats what many people do. You cant take these pics as fact. On SW we always get touched up pictures, PC pics from fanboys saying they are console pics and comparason pics like these with the names inverted, it is lying but thats fanboys for you.

the 360 version has some crappy textures as well (up close) when you're in prone for example
