[QUOTE="h575309"][QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"] Nooooooooooooooo Empire was the best star wars film, never let me here you blaspheme again! :PHahadouken

Better movie doesnt necessarily mean better story. I love all three of them.

Anyway, back on topic. Come on now, the actual story in ME2 is just a ploy to build up for ME3. Its awesome because they made you care about the characters and about the world through great execution.

Well in this case it means better story too.

Dagobah... Yoda... Bespin... Lando... HOTH!... AT-ATs... Darth revealed as Luke's father... Luke loses his hand... Boba Fett... Han encased in carbonite... Leia's feelings finally becoming apparent... the Emperor...

Best story, best movie, best piece of the Star Wars universe there is. :D

Fine fine Ill concede the Star Wars thing. I still think my point about ME2's story stands though.

God damn HTML is fine GAMESPOT...Jeesh

Agreed. I have grown up with Naughty Dog and the Jak series and loved every second of it. I just can't have fools posting around that Uncharted beats everything and should be on top. Yes the animations are better, but atleast Mass Effect lets you choose what to say. They go the extra mile an creating bonds with your character.

CoreoVII

I dunno, I like them equally for totally different reasons.

The Chloe and Elena love triangle may not let you interact as much as say Miranda and (SPOILER), but I didn't feel any less attached to them because of it.

The games do different things, both do them exceedingly well. I love Fight Club and The Big Lebowski equally, even though they are totally different kinds of movies. There is a place for everything.

I don't know why it has to be a fight. My guess is it's between guys that only have one choice. I'm a big advocate of buying both consoles now.

Yeah Gamespot constantly butchers my posts. I just hit "Preview" every time now because I know it will auto delete all my line breaks and come back saying my HTML is not well-formed, over and over and over. It's actually extremely frustrating sometimes. I hate editing a post three times because it butchered the quote, even though I quoted properly.

Anyway I haven't quite beaten Mass 2 yet, I am getting there, so I can't form an opinion on the whole story yet, but I can see how you can say it suffers from middle-of-trilogy syndrome. It does seem to be about mostly building your squad for the next game, but that's fine with me. The level of attachment and interaction I feel with all of them from going to do their loyalty missions and stuff is awesome. I will be seriously torn up at the end of the game if I lose a single person.

I love every single character in Mass, including Zaeed the DLC, and with a huge squad like that, that's quite an accomplishment. Every single character is so fleshed-out and unique. I will be gutted if Jack doesn't make it, for example.

*SPOILER*
*SPOILER*
*SPOILER*

After doing Jack's loyalty quest, her and Miranda got into a fight, and there was only the option to side with Miranda or side with Jack. Nothing diplomatic. So I had to cut Jack off. Even though I like Jack more, I had done too much to entice Miranda to throw it all away. It was genuinely a tough decision and I almost turned my console off so I could deliberate and come back to it tonight.

it's an awesome game. Sure you can pick holes in it, like with anything, but judge it on its own merit and its incredible. Of course its just my opinion, but I think it's tremendous, one of BioWare's greatest achievements.

Unfortunately I own all the consoles this gen. Also I loved when Drake picked Elena. This has to be fight because when I argue with someone on a topic it allows me to see there true feelings about said debate. We can all agree that everything is great all day but I believe the Mass Effect Trilogy so far is beating Uncharted by a mile. Uncharted 2's Multilayer is so addictive though.

In ME2 you customize your character and his party, you level up abilities. You make story based choices. You research upgrades, it has multiple endings.

In UC2 you can shoot people, punch peopleand climb at given intervals.

ME2 is far more a TPS/RPG hybrid, then UC2 is a platformer/TPS hybrid

While Uncharted 2 is a great game (on ch.19 as we speak) I found Mass Effect 2 to be the over all better game.

Well, once you finish the game you'll probably see what Im talking about (or not :P). Im not saying the ending is bad or anything of that nature. I actually really liked the ending. Either way, its my favorite game of the gen, simply for the combat itself. I absolutely love it and couldnt get enough.

Ok, so just yesterday I finally finished Mass Effect 1 on PC and without a sigle doubt I rushed to a store and bought ME 2 for PC, go home, and installed it.

After seeing the MC average review of 96, same as Uncharted 2, seeing the IGN article "ME 2 is better than U2" I had a lot of expectations from this game, "Wow, this is a game that is better than U2, one of the best game of all time" so I played the game and I thought.......

WTF? How can anybody said this game very good?

You can't change your armor, just upgrade it, and you can't change or modify your friend's armor, you can't toogle-helmet in the middle of the mission, there's no equipment in the menu, when you gained level-up you can't upgrade your status anymore, just skill point....

Gameplay...what? So I'm playing Gears of War+COD now? Seriously? I want to play RPG, not TPS! So now if I'm taking cover your heal regained just like when I played COD? What the....so what's the point of having Medigel in this game? Only for Unity? Pfffttt!!

Graphic.....did I heard some lemmings said this game on 360 has better graphic than U2? What a bulls**t....I played it on my PC and everything are maxed out!! Better than U2? They're not even on the same levels!! U2 graphics and animations are 100 times better than ME 2!! Seriously, anybody said ME 2 graphics are better than U2 proves he didn't have a PS3!

So, I only played it until I met Garrus as Archangel and then I got bored up and then turn off my PC, never touched it again.

So, please SW, can anybody told me a reason why ME 2 is so good besides the story? Because so far, ME 2 is one of my biggest dissapointment this year, better than Uncharted 2? I'm really glad GS only gave this game score 9.0 not 9.5 because ME 2 is no way better than Uncharted 2

I loved ME1 but it had its flaws...I just bought ME2 for PC and wasnt that happy with it...I mean yea it was basically the same as the first game, except they took out the random boring planet exploration missions, they altered the fighting to be more smooth, take cover etc...but still it just doesnt FLOW too smoothly...I found myself turning it off after about an hour each time I played...Until yesterday. I was about halfway through the game and I just marathoned it and loved it...the 2nd half of ME2 is def the best part of the game. Maybe give it more time...and Yes, the graphics dont touch UC2, I had all maxed on my laptop running a quad core, 4gb ram, nvidia 260gtx.

If you checked out the MC average and looking at the score of 96, why don't you actually click on the review to read why it's so good. i'm sure all of them describe why it's good. Why waste our time to repeat whats already there for you to read.

Actually they are both 96 on metacritic - you need to get over your hate for the game, and try playing it.

[QUOTE="ihsanqueen"] Yeah, the funny thing is in ME 1 you don't need Medigel to use Unity but in ME 2 you need a medi-gel? Then, what's the point of Unity skill in ME 2? Just remove it and change the term like ME 1, just click the 'F' button to use Medigel to regain your health and revive your fallen member

ihsanqueen

in ME1 medigel doesn't revive fallen party members

in ME2 unifying Unity and medi-gel puts a limit on how many times you can revive party members, that's pretty much the extent of the changes made

it's not really a big deal

B....but I want my health bar back!! Nowadays all action games are having health regen...U2, GeOW, if God of War 3 having the health regen too I will curse this gen forever....

yeah i hear you, i enjoy static healthbars as well, but you have to be fair and see that they're throwing a LOT more enemies at you in ME2 than in ME1, overall if they had kept the exact same health interface in ME2 you would be dying a lot more often, it might've even been considered "broken"

I can care less what others think and I'm not going to change my opinion based on what others think. I prefer MassEffect 2 over Uncharted 2 it's my personal opinion. As you Revan, you pick any game over Mass Effect 2 even if it is an awful game lol. You made so many anti-Mass Effect 2 topics I was starting to think members of Bioware did something to you and your family. BTW both gamesare rated at96% on metacritic.

People will say its good and people will say its bad. When I started posting in forums, I couldnt believe that there was such a human being that didnt like MGS4. I was stunned. Thats where I give game reviewers props, they seem to have a great system for rating things, so that it is somewhat unbiast. If reviews look like what the common SW person thinks, it would probably end up looking like eurogamer. lol

The fact that it's fun? The gameplay mechanics are well done. And just because the game has bad graphics doesn't mean it sucks.
