Can Dark Souls Remastered Switch edition survive and sell well?

It'll probably sell a healthy amount. How well did Skyrim sell? DOOM sold pretty badly I think I read somewhere..

All versions of this game are a flop that looks worse than the modded base game. Can't believe I actually expected Namco not to **** this up.

Only the fanboys will buy it. Rest will see it as the dated, rubbish game it really is.

Reviewers will love it, of course, being pretentious w*nkers.

@henrythefifth: new fans on ninty may greatly increase dark souls remastered sales. As i recall they are people who only buy nintendo games and not much else, this may be a game they will finally buy

Yes, I think that it will sell well on the Switch. I will be getting the Xbox One version of the game but I may pick up the Switch version as well for the portability factor and being able to play that version with friends/family who own a Switch.

It will do just fine.

To play it on the go, sure it might sell well but I ain't double-dip just to play Dark Souls Remastered.

The library that is growing in the palm of my hands is impressive.. Dark Souls will b a nice addition.

May is a nice month for Switch owners as well.

I'm sort of skeptical as to how popular Nintendo's online platform will be once it goes paid, which might make the online element of this game fall off a cliff in September.

I'm buying it... I watched some gameplay videos recently. Looks just like I remember it. I can't think of a better platform to play a souls game... Or any game for that matter that on switch.

Be too hard for Nintendo players.

Besides, third party has already been a flop, with Fifa the only one selling close to a mil.

Yes, Nintendo fans never played it and it'll outsell x1 version easily.

Switch owners buy anything remotely good because the platform lacks games... just look at Sonic Forces sales there...

As someone who already owns Dark Souls, I look forward to playing it on the go. Oh, I am going to love playing it in portable. Plus, I have a coworker who have never played before that is looking forward to getting it on the Switch as well.

Who knows it may end up being like Bayonetta 2. I don't think that game got a second wind on switch as I though it would.

In what world did Bayonetta sell well on a nintendo platform? Both PS3 and 360 versions of the first game outsold the switch/wiiU versions of 1 and 2 combined.

Zone of the Enders has a sequel and it sold like 10 copies lol. Lots of sales flops get sequels.

Like I keep telling Swag there, it sold enough for Nintendo to justify making a sequel. And that says a lot considering it's 1) not normally Nintendo's traditional type of game to even produce and 2) they tend not to be happy when something doesn't sell mega-gangbusters (i.e. Metroid).

Selling enough to justify a sequel hardly makes it a solid case that proves Nintendo fans buy M rated games, tho... Not when the E rated ones end up selling about 12 times more.

Yes it will do well enough. Not much to compete against on the platform so i imagine a good number ofbpeople will pick it up. Also, don't underestimate the intensity of the Souls Borne fanbase. They're probably fiending for another excuse to play it again.

I'd like to see a chart comparing E-rated versus M-rated sales across the board. I'm pretty sure E-rated games sell more because they are open to a wider audience.

That's quite a lot of work... but I can give examples, like Sonic Forces, a crap game, selling 600k and doom, an excellent game, selling like half of it.

No, I meant all platforms. E-rated games just have a wider audience to sell to. M-rated games by nature of being M can't make as many sales.

What's a pile of junk to you is irrelevant (though I bet if Eternal Darkness and Bayo 2 was on your precious PS consoles, you'd be heaping praises on it). You post BS and I respond to how it's BS.

Had no interest in Bayonetta and I owned both consoles it was on.

Many of us have no interest in TPS Movie games, but you Cows won't shut up about them either.
