I'm not a cop :P I'm too bad to be cop
Why would you be able to?
The games have very different system mechanics, as well balance tweaks....and different netcode.
No, you'll only play people with Ultimate. Ultimately making Vanilla Useless Trash.
but there's a slight chance that Capcom won't screw Ultimate Buyers like what they did to vanilla buyers, But Chances are still high for an Arcade Edition.
the games have different netcode. This is what pisses me off because I bought MvC3 and I don't like any of the new characters, only Vergil and if they offered this through DLC I would only buy him but, no! Capcom expect me to buy a whole new game if I want to keep playing online with my friends that will buy the new one. And really man, if only the game had some of the old characters that I like like Cyclops, Venom, Megaman, Psyclocke but they came and added a bunch of crappy ones like Rocket Raccoon, Wright, Firebrand, Nemesis, Amaterasu...
MvC3 resembles more a zoo or a circus than an actual fighting game. I'm no fan of Tekken but the new "Sf vs Tekken" looks much better than this garbage, even TvC had a better and many times more interesting roster.
if only the game had some of the old characters that I like like Cyclops, Venom, Megaman, Psyclocke

It's the same for any othe sequel. Stop trying so hard to make Capcom look bad when they're doing very little wrong.
If you want to play with people in Vanilla....play vanilla. Don't complain because you can't do UMvC3 AND MvC3 in one game.
Then capcom sucks, they force u to buy a new game when the only thing that changed is 8 DLC characters, screw them im done with that company.Firstinstimct
Ignorance.
8 new characters AND enhanced system mechanics AND balance tweaks for every character AND new netcode.
They aren't forcing you to buy anything. If you still want to play the game, play offline with a friend. Offline is better anyways.

12 new chars to be exact. I don't see why people complain like little girls over new content. No your a sucker for thinking that, they should have released it from the START. Lol @ balance tweaks, so they released a broken game lol. And they released a game with 30 chars? And they released a game with 30 chars? Lol maybe u just like getting ripped off.FirstinstimctFighting game metagame evolution is unpredictable. Honestly if a new game is balanced from the start it could be a sign that the game isn't very deep. As for characteres there are limited budgets and 36 characters is above average for a fighting game. Huge casts make balancing impossible.
Nice Troll thread... TC sounds like he strictly made this to bash Capcom.
Balance Tweaks, 12 new characters, Heroes and Heralds mode, new netcode, improved fighting mechanics, and much more... keep hating, you're not from the fighting game community - because clearly that's more than enough for a fan to get excited.
Only casuals still make the "it should've been on the original disc" complaint.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 was needed because all these changes couldn't have come in a patch, so this is a steal with all the content they're packing.

lol@u
Nothing is going to be perfectly balanced from the beginning. The closest thing I've found to be very balanced is maybe Arcana Heart 3.
After competitive play, and obvious findings like Phoenix showing to be a little strong, they are going to balance things. The fixed bugs and did a few nerfs through patches, but licensing with Marvel got them to release a sequel earlier.
30 characters is a lot btw. You're getting almost 50% for less cost than it would have costed to buy them each for DLC.
Stop being so ignorant about things.
I want to know if this is true for Blazblue CS and Blazblue CS Extend? There should be crossplay!Eponique
You won't be able to play with the two versions. Extend is going to be a new version with more balance and system adjustments as well as a new character.
Just buy the new game.

I'm still buying the portable (Vita) version though, for its portableness, but most these $30-$40 "ultimate" version of fighters are ripoffs.

You don't know what you are talking about.
It's not just an expansion pack, as a fighter the game is basically a different game. It has most of the same characters, but the balance tweaks can very well change how the game is played and/or how characters are played. And I'm pretty sure they will work on the netcode further. BBCS has some not too good netcode.
I fail to see how paying for a game is feeling sorry for them. That makes no sense. Pay them for their work if you enjoy their product. Thats all there is to it.
Lol@fighters for handhelds.
As for an Ultimate Version, what would you call it? MvC3:2? I wouldn't call them a ripoff at all either. Rather...genuinely good deals...or ******** sequels...
Sure, the games aren't MvC4 or BB3, but they are pretty much sequels.
You don't know what you are talking about. The additions are minimal compared to a real sequel. How much do you think these "sequels" REALLY cost to develop? As far as I'm concerned they're a good way to make a quick buck. Which, I don't mind, but I'm not paying $40 for what feels like $10~$20 of additions of a $30~$60 game I already bought. It's not just an expansion pack, as a fighter the game is basically a different game. So, how much do you expect to change in a fighting for a sequel?
Enough gameplay, balance, characters, stages etc. to be WORTH the $40.[QUOTE="OneSanitarium"]So, how much do you expect to change in a fighting for a sequel?

Gameplay and Balance changes wise, its worth it.
And hell, especially if you haven't bought the 3 DLC characters, it's worth it. You get 4 more characters bringing the roster up to about 19 characters.
And suprise suprise you'll main at most 2....MAYBE 3 characters IF that.
The gameplay and balance changes are minimal, definitely not worth shelling at $40 for (you can get a completely new game at that price). And while I main only 2 characters, that doesn't mean I should pay $40 for no extra content. Options are always good. Not to mention not all of us play ultra competitively, so main-ing is not that important to me.lolstages.

They aren't minimal. In loketests, you can clearly see that ArcSys are doing a pretty big overhaul with the burst system and making gold bursts have meter gain. That's just one change. I think there was also another mechanic added, but I don't follow Blazblue much at all.
It's worth $40. Stop saying it isn't because that's wrong.
And, again, you aren't paying that $40 for No content. You're paying for character rebalances, changes, system mechanic changes, new characters, new stages, mode story mode, some other added modes, and possibly improved netcode.
You don't have to play "ultra competitively" to be able to learn a character fully.
The game itself is worth $40. The changes to the game for someone who has already paid for the game are not worth an extra $40.They aren't minimal. Would you pay $80-$100 for Blazblue CS and Extend? Would you? We all have to have our limits. In the battle between buying a completely new game and getting a couple of characters and some tweaks, these fighter expansion packs lose out.
I bought Blazblue CS for $30, and I'm not going to shell out another $40 for Extend. I wouldn't have mind paying $15~20 DLC.

It's not the games fault you bought the game so close to the release date...which is still pretty far off.
I bought CS for about $50. If I enjoyed the games I would happily buy Extend for another $40-$50.
I think even if I bought it at launch, I would not be happy. Surely you can find a better game worth that $40-$50? That's full price for 3DS and Wii games. It's not the games fault you bought the game so close to the release date...which is still pretty far off.

And it's low cost for a PS3/360 game. it's worth it if you like how it stands as a fighting game. Not being happy with this shows greed. Wanting everything for a much lower cost than it should be. There are already multiple free updates the game has been given, they've been getting money solely on DLC. Now that it's a full game thought, it's wrong even with all the changes and new content.
You can say what you will, I'm not replying to you again. You clearly have a hard time understanding this subject.
Greed? Lol, it's nice to know I'm obligated to waste my money. Yeah, I'm going to spend $40 on one new character and a couple of moveset changes, so I don't look greedy

Look at fighting games as fighting games. Not some huge expansive game that's going to change genres in a sequel.
You aren't obligated to do anything. If you want to play an older version...play the older version. Play it offline. Offline is better than Online anyways.
I'm not even going to buy UMvC3 or BBCSE, I'm just saying that you are expecting too much for a fighting game.
A "new character and a couple of moveset changes" is a LARGE change/addition for a fighting game.
The consumer whore part doesn't even make sense. Your posts are ridiculous.
I'd imagine no, the game adds some new gameplay features and it'd be incompatible with regular MvC3. It's kind of a shame, at the very least there should be an option to revert the Ultimate version to the vanilla version so you can play with friends who don't want to plunk down money for what should be DLC.princeofshapeir
Or just play the Vanilla version.

As far as if this should be DLC or not. It shouldn't. It would have costed too much. And they wouldn't be able to update the horrible netcode vanilla had.
And that's exactly what I was going to do (not buy the game), but that didn't stop you from calling me greedy for not buying the game. Anyway, worth is subjective. I'm not calling you greedy for not buying it. I said you were greedy for expecting it to be free/cheaper just because you didn't feel it was enough to warrant the price it has. Which I explained to you it obviously does. I mean, I didn't actually call you greedy. I just said expecting as much as you did shows it.
If you're going to call someone a consumer whore, at least make sure they are one. It's not that I feel obligated to give money for a company, I just feel they should be payed for their products if I/others enjoy them.
But no, being reasonable about it is being a consumer whore, right?
