Can Killzone ever be as good as Halo?

I own a PS3 and resfuse to buy Microsoft. Even if you gave every PS3 exclusive to the 360 I still wouldn't buy. But I have nothing against Bungi or Halo. I feel Halos multiplayer is superior to Killzones. I hope that one day Killzone will catch up so that I can play something as good.

Halo Reach could be the last Halo ever, and by the time killzone 8 comes out for the ps5 it MIGHT be on par with the Halo series

Sorry but no . Killzone can have all the pretty graphics it wants in the end it doesnt have that fun factor i mean thats why . Killzone 2 has like 80 people still playing the Online .

Sure it can. It just will never be as popular or have as much influence as Halo.

Thats really a question on the player... Halo is for people who like more of a movement kill where you can jump and bolt at your opponent and Killzone is more for people who want the realistic heavy feeling of a soldier. I think Halo has perfected the custom games matches. But Killzone has definitly perfected the art of war type style if you get what I mean by that.

Halo 3 was garbage. Maps were terrible, Forge was a joke. For casuals it's great but forged maps had bad framerate. I like my games to play smoothly. What made matters worse is that the only effective way to create maps through forge was by merging pieces together, further messing with the framerate. Weapons were terrible and hit detection was even worse.

Maybe you're fine with headshotting someone and it not registering. Or maybe you're perfectly fine with sticking someone with a plasma grenade and it not killing them?

Halo 2 worked. Killzone worked. Halo 3 did not. Of course since it's Halo and Bungie, everyone is going to act like Halo 3 was the greatest game ever. Sorry, I have standards. Part of those standards is the gameplay has to work and the maps have to play well, not just have next textures and colors.

I'd take bland looking Lockout over nicely textured, detailed and colored Blackout.

It's already better in my opinion. I've never been a fan of the bullet sponge, low gravity type of multiplayer that Halo offers. I wouldn't mind low grav though if it was a map or two, kinda like in UT III, though that was no gravity if I remember correctly.

I prefer KZs gritty, chaotic combat to be honest. If you like Halo so much, though, you should check out Resistance. It plays largely the same, and the same style of multiplayer. It doesn't have as many features as Halo, but it does have dedicated servers.

Proof that a higher GS level doesn't mean higher knowledge. Why wouldn't you ever buy 360 if it had ALL the games PS3 had aswell? What have they done wrong to you?

If you refuse to buy a 360 your really missing out on the greatest multiplayer games out right now. I can honestly say you wont find an experience on the ps3 like reach/ halo 3 ever. The KZ franchise will never compare to the quality of the halo franchise.bigboss5ak

well killzone2's engine was built for ps3 not using updated kz1 engine , like halo reach uses updated halo combat evoled 2001 engine.koolbobfat

It is already as good, just a different way good. Different games are good in different ways. What is good for one guy sucks for other.

Agreed. For one thing, one of his top three is Zelda: TP. 8 is a "great" score. I think you're trying to find bias in a place that doesn't house it.

It's not as good as Halo is now, but with Bungie leaving the Halo series, who knows. GG will really have to step their game up incredibly though. Reach is just a superb package all around with nothing left to waste.

I didn't like Killzone 2 much at all, but I'm hoping Killzone 3 will change that.

If GG make a huge stride with KZ3 the way they did KZ2 from KZ1, then damn, there could be a new heavyweight.

I would say that it already is, but thats just my opinion.
