Can somebody teach these PC gamers about graphics???

Not all graphics come down to which has a better resolution and power, ill give you an example...

We know that KZ2 is prolly the best looking game on the PS3 (other than maybe UC2), well it runs on 1080i graphics, and yet it still looks better than all of the 1080p titles on the PS3. Even the 720p graphics graphics for KZ2 look more awesome than the other PS3 games.

Its all about detail, realism, shadowing, coloring, etc.

Now if you see the environment on Crysis, they can rival the environment graphically on KZ2. But if you look at the characters on Crysis, they wont even look as close as good to the characters on KZ2.

Point blank, I can show you a 2009 cartoon on a regular tv that will look better than a 1950's cartoon on a LED tv. Resolution isnt everything!!!

ie vampire rain looks better to me than KZ2 and guess what im right since its my opinion (not my actual opinion)

2. youre right it is more than just resolution. good thing the top pc games beat every console game in every other graphics area

actually, i disagree with this. crysis looks objectively better than killzone 2. theres the notion of debate over what look better from s stylistic department, but from a technical perspective, crysis is better. im assuming the op is talking about the technical aspect, since hes talking shading, lighting, character models, etc. and cysis and kz2 both are 'realistic' looking games. their art direction is obviously different but the overall end product in what theyre trying to achieve isnt especially different (its not like comparing crysis to katamari or blazblue). from that standpoint, theres no leg to stand on. crysis looks way better.

Well it might be because I use the ultra high config, but I never noticed the pop up to be that bad. For such a large scale environment you will see pop up here and there

Got my PS3 Slim today (!) and the first game I tried was Killzone 2. I loved the lighting, artstyle, models, everything was visually appealing to me. On the other hand, Crysis exceeds it in just about every category when it comes to graphics. Crysis is a visual beast and Killzone 2 simply doesn't hold a candle to it. By the way, the water is Crysis is one of the most impressive aspects of the game, Killzone 2's water looks stale and boring in comparison.

We know darn well it isn't all about resolution, aa and FPS.

Because Cows seem to have problems understanding I'm gonna take my time and spell it out for them.

My humble PC, a decent machineI thoughtfully built has roughly 10 times the rendering power of a PS3. And if you are willing to go all the way you can build a machine three times the power of mine, now what does that say you?

Imagine now a PC-game, crysis. A game bringing my computer down to it's knees running ultra-high 1680 x 1024, 4AA at 30FPS. This should tell you that if a machine 10 times the power of the PS3 can barely run this game how on earth are games like KZ2 and UC2 gonna look better?

the last pic is warhead DX9 on a mix of gamer and enthusiest settings

the rest are crysis dx9/10 with the CCC mod lvl5 (it looks the same DX9 and DX10)

Lets start, you are talking as if you know anything about Crysis, why are u playing a 720p native game on an 1080i resolution? This is a joke thread correct?

The point is why do we play FPS-games?

If you want a game with a strong story(half-life2), Crysis might not be for you.

If you want a top of the line multiplayer(it's solid), Crysis might not be for you.

If you want to be guided along a given path like a dog in a leech(too much freedom makes you crazy), Crysis might not be for you.

But if you like being creative and totally in control how you bring death and destruction, this game is a rush.

The incredible dynamic game-design also makes it hard to really give up on it. After two years I still keep on coming back for more, much thanks to the modding community I might add.

Finally,this game is much like, the more you bring it the more you get.
