Generic- PS3Pro_wrestler
The PS3 is anything but generic. Even if you hate it, you've got to admit that.

Yeah the thing is though it isn't generic...

Odama- Not generic at all, but sucks.
Resistance 2- It may be generic or whatever you want to call it, but it still can be barrels of fun. There's a lot of generic games out there that are tons of fun to play.
Generic is usually a bad thing, though. You need a change of pace. Obviously, sometimes it fails, like with Odama. But other times, like in Portal, it can innovate, create new ideas, and be a lot of fun.
To be honest, Portal is kind of... Well, a lot of things could be put to so much better use. So why did it score so damn high? The concept was good, and it was fresh. Hell, if HAZE was the first FPS, then it would get tons of AAA scores.
In short: I enjoy my fair share of generic games, but I also like when new ideas come along, because that keeps things fresh.
Generic means it was something that people predicted or is obvious. Like after finishing a game you thought the story was very generic, you could predict it or it was obvious.wado-karateA perfect example of a person who does not know what the word "generic" means. Maybe if the word he was trying to describe was predictable...
