Can someone please tell me how any Sony fanboy can praise the PS3???

after hearing over and over about how the wii suck and only has shovelware from 3rd parties...and how the Xbox 360 is only a halo 3 machine..i did alittle investigation that took about 10mins of my time...i clicked on the PS3 page right here on gs and began to search every game that was either announced or made on PS3..

Why PS3 you ask...because for the past 2 weeks an increase in sony fanboy threads have been popping up bashing the 08 line up for MS and Nintendo.OMG killzone 2 is teh best..resistance is gonna own GOW..nintendo has nothing after mario kart..well ok thats fine im not a fanboy i play every system..but i know that i can stand when extream fanboys cant face the facts..by simply scrolling through the PS3 page i found that nearly every game rated an 8.0 or higher was available on another system or a extravagant port in the case of ninja gidan sigma and orange box..7.0 or higher was either a crap 3rd party game that got lucky or a sports game,and alot of those were available on another system..6.0 and below as if any of you would care..but just know i found alot of those...

but the worst part of all..which is why im confused at how any sony fan boy could criticize any system now is the plain fact that most of the games on the page weren't even out yet...so what games are sony fan boys playing to even make there system worth buying now???cause im not getting one until i see FF13 released and God knows when that will be.

EDIT: and i dont base a good game off of ratings... i simply use the ratings as irony to the fact the sony fanboys are quick to bring up ratings on games in a argument

There are plenty of great games on the PS3. More than enough to fill your available time with enjoyment.

Last time I checked, my PS3 wasn't leaving me anything to be desired. :|

And just a slight argument against yours... The titles that deserve to be 8.0-9.5 on PS3 have been underrated. I mean, specifically, R&C:F... got a 7.0 here. Guess what? Gamerankings has it as a 89%, ditto that to Uncharted, which got a 8.0 here. Essentially 90% on GR. And this is coming from the site that gave Halo 3 a 9.5? :|

Yeah, right. Once again, I own both a 360 and a PS3, and I sure as hell have played many, many more hours on R&C:F than Halo 3. In fact, I still play R&C:F today because I find it so fun, yet I don't touch halo 3 when I go on my 360....

Casually playing a PS3 at somebody's house doesn't qualify you to say that you "play PS3". It's in the present tense, implying that it's an ongoing process. You don't play Playstation 3, you have played a Playstation 3 at some time or another.

You are not unbiased.

There's no reason for anybody to be upset becuase they only have a Playstation 3. There are more than enough games. If you don't think so, you either have unforgivingly high standards or you have too much time on your hands, in which case you need to get a job.

no i said i play every system......then later i said that every game that i would even want to play on the ps3 is available for the xbox...IMO their exclusive are not appealing to me right now..i have no biase because i am not bashing the PS3 itself but simply asking a question as to why any fanboy could bash any other system now when their system is no better,,yeah of course my opinion on the games and the ratings on them can be tooken as being bias, *i used them as a irony example to the argument over the wiis rating average and how the ps3 had a crap load of low ratings* but that doesnt mean i hate the ps3 i just dont need one right now cause my 360 can make up for it..when some exclusive only games like FF13 come out then ill get it cause that is appealing to me..YOU may find something good about it right now YOU may find it better to play the orange box on PS3..but my 360 can do that and play halo 3..and my wii can play brawl and Mario kart..ps3 just aint got nothin right now...dont needz to own one to know thats:|

This is what I've been playing on PS3 or have greatly enjoyed on PS3 (not in any particular order):

• Grand Theft Auto IV
• The Elder Scrolls IV
• Warhawk
• Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
• Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
• Resistance: Fall of Man
• Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
• Call of Duty 3

Half of those are exclusive, all of them with AA average. If AA isn't good enough for you, then you obviously are too jaded to be even considered a gamer anymore. All of the games I listed should be enjoyable to any real gamer who tries them.

I need to get going, so I won't continue, but I have more than enough reason to be incredibly happy with my PS3.

Why don't you stop worrying about why "cows" like/defend the PS3, and focus on your own likes. I love my PS3. it is a quality piece of technology. I can only speak for myself, but I personally defend it because I feel the majority of flack it gets is for the most part, inaccurate, and slanderous. not saying other consoles don't get that, but I only own a PS3. don't care about the others really. bias? yes. inaccurate? no. I try to keep my statements & opinions based on the truth. which I think is better than trying to BS and say I'm not bias.0rin

i feel the same way about the wii i only buy a system for games specs dont matter for me..and im not biased i like sony..

guess u can call me a sony fanboy. lol sony has all the xclusives I like unlock, playing with controller for 10 years and I always use my playstations as media players/game console. ps2 was my dvd player something and ps3 will be my dvd/blu-ray player.ff7isnumbaone

So these "Sony fanboys" you mention- Do they wear Sony T-shirts? Do they have Sony bumper stickers on the back of their cars? Do they have posters of Howard Stringer in a bikini?

Anyway, I guess PS3 owners praise the system because it's had a good first year for games, and even better years ahead of it.

I enjoy the PS3 because it's a video game console. I enjoy the games I own for the PS3. I enjoy the freedom of any USB headset and harddrive. I enjoy the WiFi. I enjoy the PSN Store, as well as the free PSN. I enjoy the heat sensitive front panel, and the mulitmedia card slots. Someday maybe I'll even enjoy Blu Ray, as I still play games in standard definition.

I enjoy every console this gen, but the PS3 is my favorite for sure.

Why would I want to buy the system when there are 10 games worth buying for the system? I don't have that kind of money to purchase all 10 games at the same time.

I knew exactly what type of games would be on the PS3 and purchased one around launch. That way I can pick up the great games when they come out one at a time instead of having to buy them all at once.

Resistance, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword Ratchet, Uncharted, Warhawk, Folklore, and even Eye of Judgment have all been really great games.

I don't see why everyone wants to try to argue that it is pointless to pick a system up before there are 10 AAA games out for the system.

I know what games coming out for the system so the actual SMART thing to do is buy the system and then buy the games as they come out. That way I wont miss any good games.

If the shoe was on the other foot... You own a 360 right now, but if you owned a PS3 instead, I'm sure you wouldn't be asking why Sony fanboys praise PS3. As far as scores go, I see more crying about how biased GS is about scores than I see the scores being used in any other way.Terami
