Can someone remind me again whats so great about Halo

I dont understand the hype, i played it and played multiplayer, but this is outrages the G4 and people are going nuts over it, I dont understand whats so great about it. Its a nice FPS nothing special.

If a game like this gets a countdown on G4, then Crysis should get 2 days coverage before release, since its a revolutionary game, Halo is a sequel that people enjoy playing multiplayer, Crysis is just out of this world.deniiiii21

Anyways, it combines a great storyline (the only videogame I care about story-wise), the most balanced multiplayer w/ a flawless matchmaking system that is unparalled on consoles (Halo 2 that is), now Halo 3 has Saved Films which will no doubt be copied by everyone in the future, and Forge which is pretty cool, it will add the the replayability, which is already as high as it gets.

There are tons of reviews online saying quite clearly what is so good about Halo.

You'll find quotes like "one of the best FPS games around w/ some of the best gameplay and deepest feature sets for any console game we've seen".

Basically it's the only console FPS that has gameplay that feels as good and satisfying, and most importantly, as much FUN as the top teir PC shooters. No other console FPS can claim this like Halo can.

Don't believe me? Check out all the professional reviews from grown, mature, unbiased people. They are all saying the same thing.

Just b/c you hate a game doesn't mean it's not a truly great game, it just simply means you are one of the few people unlucky enough to not be able to enjoy the game that most people have years and years of fun with.

I don't like Final Fantasy games to save my life, but I still am smart and mature enough to see why they are good games for those who somehow actually still enjoy JRPGs. It's just not my thing.

Halo has a great story for an FPS, top notch music and voice acting, amazing sound effects, nice graphics, the best gameplay in console FPS history (in most opinions), the best multiplayer in console history (in most opinions), and almost all reveiws have said it has more features than any console game on the market today.

That's off the top of my head. There is plenty more I am too lazy to write out.

I'm glad they cut way down on that in Halo 3. The gun 'n nade gameplay from CE was top notch. Glad to see them pushing back in that direction.
