Go to wikipedia.org and look up Final Fantasy. You'll get a complete list of all the main series and all the spinoffs.

On what console are these 12 finaly fantasy main games? Are there any collection of final fantasy?

The thing is I don't have any final fantasy game so I don't know what final fantasy to get.

Correction, Final Fantasy I & II can be found on the PS1 as well known as Final Fantasy Origins. So can V and VI, known as Final Fantasy Anthology and both VII and VIII appeared on the PC. Not to mention Final Fantasy III debuted on the NES in Japan, and the remake on the DS here in NA.

FF4 was also remade for the DS. Point is, Square has released a whole lot of FF. This isn't even mentioning the spin off titles.

I know that, but I was making it easier for the guy to make a decision by mentioning only the best versions available, as well as those which he could get his hands on with relative ease. How would he find a legitimate copy of the NES Final Fantasy III Japanese original??? :o

I don't think it'd be super easy to find NES/SNES versions regardless. Besides, I'm just opening more options for the guy, if he can find the PS1 versions, then good for him. Besides, I just made mention of FF3 being on the NES because you made mention of FF1 and FF2. :P
