I think this thread has been answered.

It will end when it lets go of the KUNG-GU grip it has on it's few remaining exclusives, ...... thats if the devs for those exclusives don't pry it, finger by finger from Sony's greedy little hands. Then the PS3 will simply sink at freefall speed.

sonys sales figures are always lies, as are nintys and MS. all companies report consignment or sale to retailer as sold --- so it really means shipped.

so yeah, sales don't mean much -- and if you want to get in to the numbers the PS3 is getting destroyed across the world more or less with no light on the horizon.
