How important is cross game chat really? I mean how many does honestly use it? I mainly speak with people who I play the same game with, but that's just my opinion. Other than that I don't see why Xbox 360 owners shouldn't buy a PSV if the games have their attention. Not choosing a console/platform solely based on fanboyism is just BS - I'm sure most gamers looks at the value of the product they're interested in and considers where they'll get most pleasure.danish-deathTo xbox 360 fans allot is one of the main reasons they stay on XBL and don't go PSN,there have been countless arguments about PSN vs Live and most come down to cross game chat. I my self did not use cross game chat on xbox 360,but that doesn't mean all other live fans haven't.
The Vita looks good, and I'm sure it will see more success than the PSP but I don't quite know if it'll be such a big success.

The vast majority of 360 owners in the real world are not fanboys. They are above all else gamers. Everyone I know owns either a DS/Lite/DSi/3DS or a PSP, or both. If Sony puts some good games on the Vita (man I still hate that name), people will buy it. It's that simple.
That's what killed the PSP to me. I owned one, and other than a few core games there wasn't much to play on the system that interested me. It also didn't help when you went into a store to buy games there was usually only a few available. Hell for the longest time when I went into a Gamestop there would usually be around 10 PSP games for sale, and maybe 10 movies.
If 360 fans are anything like William RLbaker, I highly dought it.

The thing is William owns a PS3, so the idea of him owning a Vita if the system has games is not out of the question.
Well last gen Microsoft made their games on the DS only because since they didn't have a handheld they put there games on Nintendo's handheld because they saw Sony more as a competitor then Nintendo and they didn't want to help Sony by making games on their Handheld.
This gen I don't think they will do that I think they will try to make games for Windows Phone 7. But they still might allow Rare to make games for the 3DS because Nintendo and Rare still are on good terms the only reason Rare left was because Nintendo didn't want to buy Rareware so Rare went to Microsoft.
Sorry, no Halo, no Gears, no sale. :P
Eh, j/k a bit as I have never been much a fan of portables
SecretPolice
Me neither, but I've never played one that had controls comparable to a standard one. I can't wait to play FPS games on this thing, and I'm a 360 fan, so consider my reply to the TC's question a resounding "YES!".
It will depend on what kind of games there will be on the PS Vita. I have been a Nintendo fan for many years, but when i compare the 3DS with the PS Vita i think i'll only buy the PS Vita this time around.
Off course harcore MS fanboy's will never get the PS Vita, but the mainstream Xbox360 gamer will definetly be interested in the PS Vita. Especcially when the graphics and functions are close to what their used to on the Xbox360.
Being a huge 360 fan/ex PS fan because of $600 price tag. I would have to say yes I would have gotten the vita because I do own a PSP 3000. I own a PSP 3000 because of the games of course but mainly because of the tv connection. Thats what made me interested in it. I already knew about the games. Now that the PSvita has no tv connection with it I will not be buying it. I do expect a remodel of the PSvita to come out with a connection for tv support so probably then I will buy it. All the other features with PSN, cross game chat, and online play is not important to me because i have no wifi in my house. And theres no way I am paying for 3g or 4g or whatever there offering.
I think so , if they get to like uncharted for example and have no money issues I can totally see they getting a ps3 to get the full experience.

Oh wow, I didn't even realize that, the Vita is going to have online gameplay with, friends lists, trophies and X game chat, and PSN still has no charge. Heh, makes ya think..
