Can the PSP redesign give it a second chance?

I really dislike the PSP now because of how your hands need to form to it, instead of it being a shape that forms to your hands...it feels like crap. I love the big, beautiful screen, but I think I heard it's being kept the same size. Biggest problem that needs to be fixed, which I can't BELIEVE they f***ed up in the first place, is the analog stick and the arrow pad on the same side. That needs to be fixed over anything else. Then shooters will really rock. And just maybe I'll get one then. For now my DS is keeping me happy.

Do you think it could help it get closer to the DS in sales or will it just piss off the current PSP owners? I might get one if they make those couple changes. The RPG lineup is blowing me away....BoF 3 was all I needed to hear. Opinions?

The best you can hope for is a slightly improves form factor, myabe a cleaner LCd or something and maybe a few internal tweaks.

Look at the DS Lite Vs the DS Phat and you will get the idea...

Pokemon can. So can Dragon Quest, especially since both those games sold like candy in the nintendo-dominated, pre-PSP era.(Nintendo still dominates, case in point)

Unfair comparison. That's like saying Super Mario Sunshine was on the same level as Super Mario 64.

Mystery Dungeon was not a true pokemon game by any stretch of the imagination.

Dragon Quest Joker is a spin off. Dragon Quest 9 is the main game in which its illegal to sell on a weekday. You know the game that when it comes out its a holiday. Its the most popular series in Japan lol. 

people said pokemon Games would kill the PSP in general but people didn't say pokemon main games.

Um its the "MAIN GAMES" not the "SPINOFFS" that are the huge sellers. Its a national Holiday when a Numbered Dragon Quest game comes out you know that right? And Pokemon in Japan has already buried PSP in Japan.

When I mean bury I mean it will remain at 2nd place for the gen with no chance of winning it. PSP won't die its the most successful handheld to go against a Nintendo Handheld and it hasn't failed. That alone is a huge statement and it is good that Nintendo has some competition finally in the handheld market.
