Can we all agree Gears2 flopped?

It scored lower than the original. It has more graphical glitches than the original(due to the rush job) Is this grounds for an official flop?

Actually, it scored lower because it was a sequel. Imagine that this was the first Gears, and you would see a much high score. Also, it had more graphical glitches? Whenever I play it, I notice the glitches to be a lot less than the first one, and even with the low res texture, they seem to disappear a lot faster than they did in the first one.Legendaryscmt

No it was a good game imo. Much too short though, seems I blinked and it was over.Bigboi500

Well you must have thought that you blinked, but you actually fell asleep. lol. It wasn't that long, maybe they should have added 4 hours of cutscenes like MGS4 to make it seem longer.

It's a solid 8.5 IMO so it surpasses Gears of War which I gave an 8.0. It's not my favorite game out there but it's still good.gdp72

Heh, when I played Gears 1, the day it came out, it litteraly blew me away. The graphics, action, gameplay everything! Easy 9.5. Now Gears 2 bring even more awesomeness to the series and easily triumphs over Gears 1 in every way, but standards have changed, and Gears 2 had alot more competition this time. Also, it's a sequel which doesn't change the formula too much. All sequels usually score lower then their predeccessors.

Better campaign, more on screen enemies, more weapons, new characters, stronger story, new multiplayer modes. Only thing it didn't show improvement on was the matchmaking system.
