I"m excited for it, but there's absolutely nothing about game that makes it a system seller....and all the people losing their minds over it are really overreacting. Yes, From Software has a strong pedigree but like @Lulu_Lulu said, it's often an acquired taste. Too many people are acting like it's the greatest game ever made and it's not even made yet

No Man's Sky probably has that award since there was actual gameplay to show off, Sunset Overdrive is probably up there as well.

But it's not a Souls game. It doesn't have Souls word in its title. It's some sort of a spin-off maybe. And we don't anything about it except some shady gifs. From what we know, it may be ANYTHING.

Yes I think we can....

Granted we didnt see much at E3.... but we trust the director and From Software, and in addition we got some leaked footage last week. Has the most promise for sure. The next game I would say is No Man's Sky... but too much mystery there.

This, mostly because of the background of teh director and studio. My most desired no-pc game? Yes, even took out Destiny for me. System seller? Nope. This game alone isn't enough to sell me on the PS4. Infamous and Uncharted are expected for me.

I don't know about Destiny, it should be way more exciting than it is but to me it just looks so boring and bland.

Anything Miyazaki sells a ps4 for me, also MGSV is going to be fucking awesome, I really want to see more open world gameplay. Hopefully some shit gets leaked.

I would buy a ps4 for this game. Few games rivaled the soul games last gen. Plus some gifs and footage has been leaked and it looks stunning

"acquired taste" my ass. Most of their games are jut plain ass with awful graphics, gameplay and frame-rates. I used to play lots of their games in the PS1 era and even loved Armored Core but then since the PS2 all they made was trash after trash till they co-developed Demon's Souls with Sony Scei. Because as much as some people don't want to admit it, Scei had lots of input in the game. They created the online portion and pushed for certain style of game because FromSoftware was just going to make another King's Field but Scei didn't agree with it.

yea meant extinct. That's 5 pages, Horizon 2 has as many and this is a souls (what most hope for it to be at least) game we're talking about. In that thread there's as many ppl qq'ing about not getting this on their system as the ones hyped for it.

A new IP with no actual gameplay footage shown. For all we know, the combat could be busted.

to have a strong pedigree you first need something that proves it. But FromSoftware only has flops and awful review scores except for one series and now they are milking it like if it were armored core.

You're lying to yourself if you think this wasn't hyped. Cows have been claiming ownage since the first screens popped up, then when the gifs dropped it was non-stop.

True, but if you look at how people are reacting ... can't blame From Software for trying to capitalize (they aren't actually capitalizing...the people are hyping this thing up blindly). Everyone screaming Beast Souls based on nothing but hopes...so little is known about this..even with the Famitsu info.

Looks nice and seems cool...will likely buy it, but people need to calm the hell down

The CGI looked interesting, but if it has the same annoying learning curve that the Souls games have. I'm really not that interested in it.

Even though it was gameplay, it may as well just have been CGI considering it gave no indication whatsoever of what the gameplay will be like. He just flew around, got out of a ship, walked around for no apparent reason, then flew back. I still have zero idea what the day to day gameplay of that game will be like.

I like the idea. Dark Souls could certainly make you jump and the tension derived from the difficulty/soul system made it feel like a survival horror game so heading more down that path makes sense. Plus I'm glad it's not just Dark Souls 3, nothing wrong with taking certain elements from those games but DS2 was a big disappointment for me because it felt like fan service rather than a passion project.
