Can we at least all agree that Final Fantasy XIII is the best JRPG this gen?

No, it's a horrible game. (obligatory "IMO"). I haven't played Lost Odyssey, but it has better box art so it has won already

Even though I haven't played it, I believe the title belongs to Demon's Souls.

I thought it was pretty average and a huge disapointment,P4 is the best as far as I´m concerned.

My experience with FF13

Got home from gamestop

put it in my PS3

Played it for an hour

got in my car

drove back to gamestop

Got a refund

Spent my cash on more enjoyable games.

Haven't played it but Looking at Reviews Those JRPGs in Japan that are in my Sig (The Last Story and Xenoblade) are better than FFXIII.

FFXIII is great, one of my favorite games this gen, but Tales of Vesperia is even better imo.

Valkyria Chronicles/Demon's Souls

FF13 is probably my favorite game this gen, sure it has flaws but what game doesnt?

It's no where near as good as TWEWY so no I can't agree.

As far as I'm concerned the best one is Enchanted Arms or Nier.

Neither received good scores.

Edit LO loses on account of a weak main story, (screw your dreams, give me an interesting main story), and FFXIII loses on account of being too uninteresting.

It's not even in the same universe as Valkyria Chronicles.

Just remember that it's one of those games that provides you with an actual reason to replay it for a second time. You're going to be able to understand what the shades are saying and you may not feel all that heroic ;)

FFXIII was very good though I don't know about best. Still got some JRPGs this gen I have to catch up on.

That plus if NA gets lucky and NoA gets smart and releases Xenoblade and Last Story I could see those games being better.

And even though LO Had a somewhat bland story, I still loved the characters and environment, so IMO It's one of the best JRPGS (Hint, i've only played about 10 JRPG's, so don't take my opinion that seriously,)

It wasn't the best I've played but it's def. the best on 360/PS3 imo. Every other JRPG was terrible. It's not like the PS2 days....man I miss the PS2...:((((

Yeah, two playthrough's are essential and afterwards you don't feel particularly good ;)

Edit: Honestly, this game is cruel :? Happiness is shortlived if you get any at all. I especially feel bad for a certain woman because she won't ever fullfill her desire ;)

Nier is'nt heroic in the first place, he just wants to take care of his daughter.

However, Nier is about more than him and his daughter and life is cruel ;)

Honestly, it's the best game story this gen.

I probably spent more time selecting outfits than I did customizing my guns.:lol: Which would explain why I'm barely killing things effectivly.:?

No but we can agree on Lost Odyssey being the best JRPG this gen though.

Play 7 and 10. Then you will see why its one of the worst Final Fantasy games.
