Most of those aren't even out and we know next to nothing about them. Wow.

So over half of the list isn't even released games and out of the released games there is one ps4 exclusive, this isn't exactly making a too strong impression

But obviously if jrpg's are your thing then ps4 is the best platform

No, PC is still the king like it is every gen.

PC is able to play old games still, consoles have very poor backwards compatibility.

The exclusives.

Emulators for the old console and handheld games.

VR mods for all kinds of RPG's including MMO's and old games including Daggerfall.

Now if you're talking about just consoles, then yeah, Playstation wins like they do every gen, because that's the most popular system in Japan so it gets most of the Japanese RPG's developed just for it, and since Playstation is big in the US it gets the western RPG's too.

Yes. No other place can you get that many AAA rpgs on one platform.

I respect your opinion my friend. theres a huge flaws in witcher 3. the open world design is boooring, combat is worst i have seen, controlling suck geralt move like tank. cant navigate ladder.

BUT how can i agree with you when you don't even play any rpg's and call jrpg's cute animu. You play only Only Hardcore manly man games as Metro, Stalker, Doom or Shadow Warrior :P

Kingdom Hearts 3 is also releasing on Xbox One, yes. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is PS4 'exclusive' (it's actually an enhanced port of a 3DS game, so it's still not exclusive, in all honesty), but that has nothing to do with Kingdom Hearts 3- 3 is multiplatform, it is also coming to the Xbox One.

My point was that your opinion doesn't matter. It is your opinion against that of millions of fans and hundreds of critics who do think it is one of the best games released in a long time. For YOU it might be overrated but it will still go down in history as a finely crafted game that is one of the best in its genre. For millions of others it is a terrific games and their opinions put together + hundreds of critics>Your opinion. History will dictate if the game is overrated if in retrospective it is shunned(kinda like GTA IV) but I feel it won't be the case.

my dear friend, like i said game is not bad. its definitely worth playing but not OMG OMG GOTY MASTERPIECE 10/10. there are major flaws in game. I did beat this game 2 times and normally i dont bother to finish games which i really really hate like for example i gave up bioshock infinite after 1 and half hour. i gave up wolfenstien new order towards mid of game. both are abysmal games.

this witcher 3 is just below average. 6/10, fair game. novigrad part was absolutely boring and painfull, skellige is bit better. i found many characters really boring and shallow. theres way too much boring dialouges that i forced to skip OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!. the Ciri part are worst. too overpower and hack n slash. Witcher 2 was much better and even that game doesnot have good combat too. Geralt speak like robot, move like tank, and i cant get into his character. How can Game can get SO many praise when its CORE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS ARE NOT GOOD!!!! when its Combat suck!! that even make Assassins creed Good.

CDPR really really suck when it comes to combat and core gameplay mechanics thats why i am worried about cyberpunk 2077. Im a Huge fan of Sci fi/cyberpunk theme and CDPR should do much better job next time.

PS4 has JRPG but PC has the most RPG overall

Beats game twice(which roughly translates to over 100 hours), and then says it's a below average game. Yeah. If he stuck this guy, instead of a feather in his hat, he'd call him a trolleroni.

I would call PS4 the JRPG king by a small margin, but it is laughable to call it the WRPG king.

PC easily takes that spot, as it has every wrpg you listed in the OP (except for Horizon) on top of several stellar exclusive CPRGs and ARPGs.

For consoles, the answer is yes. For every system, no.

Nope,overall the PC has the most RPGs,especially W/CRPGs and its slowly but steadily getting a ton of JRPGs as well.

But for consoles yeah,the PS4 is the best for RPGs in general.

Mount and blade 2 Bannerlord will easily beat those upcoming ps4 exclusive rpgs in terms of gameplay and entertainment.

Like just about every genre, except racer, PS4 is the place to be.

What I see is WRPG being mostly multiplat and JRPG are more often than not exclusive to the PS4 which always been the case in the war between Sony and Microsoft

Granted, you can most likely make that case when Persona 5 releases. I probably wouldn't have bothered to get a PS4 if it weren't for that.

Xbox One might not have as much going for it as Sony has planned down the line but at least what it does have going for it is out, whereas Sony's still fueling the warcry of a PS3 era cow with their mantra "just you wait!"

@ghosts4ever: Witcher 3 is the first game since Crysis that blew me away in every way. It's a brilliant game where a team of just 200+ devs worked hard as hell to bring that game to us with limited resources. CDPR made a better game than new Bioware and other similar devs that have way more resources and several times more developers. You didn't like the game, that's fine,,, it wasn't for you but stop bashing it everywhere bro.

On topic: PS4 is not wRPG king. It's jRPG king only.

I hope Bethesda took note and gets their shit together. If any game would have won GOTY due to hype by a major studio, it would have been Fallout 4. I'm just glad that The Witcher 3 took it almost everywhere; they deserved it.

On topic: PC is the king of WRPGs (imo), this genre belong to PC, except if the developers were lazy. PC even have a mix of cRPGs and modern RPGs.

Overall, the PS4 will probably have more rpgs than the One til all is said and done. But honestly, less JRPGs are being made nowadays than used to be, so....
