Have probably about half a dozen disk games bought early on in the gen then went digital. Then came AwesomeSauce GamePass and have purchased nothing since. Great stuff. :D

physical is the only way to go.

1. if you have no internet access you can't play your digital copies on ps 4 at least. not sure if xbox is the same way. my internet was down for three days and could not play my digital copies.

2. what if you delete the game off your harddrive and it is not on the ps store or gamepass anymore leaving you no game you bought for 20-60.

physical copies are so 1998.

2. You can re-download any game youve purchased on PSN even if it's been removed from the store with exception of PT. You don't own gamepass games, it's basically a rental service.

ok i'm going to have to check because i thought i did make my pro my primary console. thank you hopefully this will work. i have a hard time keeping up on my internet bill lol.

same thing can be said about 2d games but we still love them.

@gifford38: You can play digital games offline with xbox. Think its 30 days before you need to check in.

Think the last physical game i bought was bf5, and that doesnt work anymore even though I cant see any scratches on the disc.

Edit: just tried it on my ps4 and it works too.

The last physical I brought was god of war 3 remastered about a month back. With all the digital sales at the moment physical has become an inconvenience to me.

I personally love physical.

Physical is definitely my preferred format to get my games on. I currently have 68 Xbox One games on physical and 20 Switch games on physical.

I prefer physical, but will get digital depending on the game and price. I lend games to friends, one buddy has my copy of prey another has my wolfenstien new order and colossus

No need for online check for digital games on primary ps4, you only need that if you downloaded these games on another ps4.

Some other stuff there too, but yeah, there you go. Got some dublicate Switch games, 'cause we have two Switches here.

I buy physical because it’s cheaper most of the time. Then I sell them and move on. No time to live in nostalgia.

If I kept all my PS4 games, I would probably have something like 150+ physical games.

I have like 20 on shelf I plan on beating and then trading in.

digital distro is more important now than ever ;)

Would be more if collecting physical games on PC didn't suck so much. I collected way more movies and TV shows in this timeframe.

Plus Horizon Zero Dawn but gave it to one of my friends.

Selling all my games while they have a value. I don't see the point of stacking boxes.

If I had physical like I did with 7th gen and below, I'd have an entire room set of physical copies.

I just can't do it anymore.

Thanks! It's always changing. I tend to sell games once I'm done with them. I only want to keep the true collector's items or the games I really like. My Wii U and 3DS collection are definitely going to shrink, especially with Switch getting so many ports.
