[QUOTE="ironcreed"] The whole mutating anti-hero that IS the hero is the element that I think is so cool about it. The whole post apocalyptic, bio warfare setting is also rather compelling.
A brief, but well summed up synopsis of the game:
"A modern-day superhero saga, Dark Sector is a third-person shooter where players assume the role of the protagonist, Hayden Tenno who gains the ability to morph into dramatically different combat forms. Set in the crumbling infrastructure of a fictional Soviet-bloc country in the near future, the game features both single and multi-player action, with players working their way through a world where bio-weapons are no longer science experiments, but a hellish nightmare let loose on an unsuspecting populace."
It just seems like it is going to be a really dark, and different kind of game in general....and that is what we definitley need more of in my opinion.

lol different? come on, man...STALKER is also set in an apocaplytic soviet zone with mutated creatures and what not...i really liked the dark space setting, now it's like a survival horror game...i dunno, it's fine if you like it, but i just find the whole concept uninteresting

By different, I mean a bit different from your modern shooters because of the different combat features that it will have OTHER than simply using GUNS. I guess I should have been more specific on the aspect which I was referring to as being "different."
As far as post apocalyptic setting, ect....hell, I know that has been done a million times already. I simply meant THE GAMEPLAY looked different. Thats all. Anyway, I think it looks killer myself. It has a sort of RE4 third person look to it in some ways, and I loved the hell out of that game.
Also....Stalker does indeed look like a bad ass game. They ran a preview of that last night on Gamer tv as well. Amazing looking game in every respect.
