the ps3s 255-255 RAM is sonys worst mistake of the many mistakes they made, Valve will no longer develope for the ps3, alot of games have been cancelled because its inability to run Unreal Engine 3, i accept the ps3s worst flaw but can you? lol =\ CREEPINGvDEATH
1)what are you smoking? Did you not see Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3? The engine runs fine on Ps3.
2)Valve, meh, 1 developer gone. I can always catch up with their games on PC
3)Your topic states that PS3 wasnt designed for GTA4 when GTA4 was best on PS3 according to numerous sources? contradiction FTL

OMG epic thread :lol:tonythestudentThis and Boom Blox getting a 10/10 were the best laughs I got today.
Really? I've had no crashes. My framerate is very stable. R* came out and confirmed that both consoles have the same resolution.
It's true that GTA4 runs like crap on the PS3. Lower resolution, numerous crashes etc. Cows like to claim it runs "best" on the PS3 but they are clearly pretty out of touch since the resolution is significantly lower on the PS3 than on the Xbox 360. Claims that it is "smoother" are pretty hilarious, too.bragac200

lol, 360 has its fair share of issues too. Only the ps3 version was given advice on how to fix issues. 640p is not significantly lower than 720p either, and the blur issues can be fixed if you toggle around with the display options

When it isn't locking up your system with inexcusable game-ending glitches, Grand Theft Auto IV, for all intents and purposes, has delivered as advertised.
That is, if you're playing the Xbox 360 version.
Confirmed reports today put two additional issues at the feet of the PS3 version of GTA IV. These issues include inaccessible online play and a less-than-true-HD 640p resolution.
Sony is aware of the online problems, read a post over at Kotaku, but Rockstar so far has not responded to their inquiries. The GTA IV servers are hosted by Gamespy.
As for the resolution issue, several outlets have confirmed the PS3 version runs at 640p, compared to the Xbox 360's HD 720p.
the PS3 has 512MB of ram TC...its divided into 2 256MB banks. one is for the CPU and one is dedicated GPU memory. the GPU can also dip into the CPUs memory if a dev needs more texture memory (though this should generally be avoided).
it can also run UE3 very nicely (unreal tournament 3...a better looking game then gears of war since its running on a later version of the engine).

well, wel, you somehow missed all the posts of 360 owners having problems to.. lol.. fanboys.. they read what they want to read
So why do alot of sources say the PS3 version is superior?
Also, if PC World has issues does that mean every PS3 has issues? Maybe their PS3 is faulty?
Or should I take the assumption as if 1 single Honda breaks down or has issues they are all trash??? Good logic.

it may or may not be superior, but it sold less.
The consumer has spoken as to which version is more preferred.
Kind of. Not everyone was willing to drop $600 on a console, and it's been out a year later.
The numbers are skewed.

There's a flaw in your logic. If 2 million copies of GTA IV were sold to 2 million Xbox360 owners compared to 1 million to 1 million PS3 customers (I'm making up #'s if you can't tell) does that mean the people have choosen or that there are less people with PS3s? It's just like fractions. How do you make a number bigger when dividing? You either make the top number bigger or the bottom number smaller.
