Capcom buys Tenchu developer K2 Studios- will series start to be great again?

"Capcom has announced that its wholly acquired K2 Studios via a simple exchange of stock which is expected to be completed on May 1.

"K2 has a proven record as a reliable provider of game development services for Capcom. By making this company a wholly owned subsidiary, Capcom plans to make its game development activities more efficient and speedy," Capcom said in a statement. "Capcom also believes that pursuing a business strategy based on closer ties with K2 will help increase the value of the entire Capcom Group.""

The last few tenchu games were nothing like the previous ones, by which I mean their greatness, but I think that was to blame on the new developers that the rights to make the tenchu games.

This is a sigh of relief because now the devs are owned by capcom, which I think are one of the few devs that can take the series back to its glory dayz.

Tenchu games have always been broken - but this series has the potential to be so GREAT!! I really hope to see a new game that has some effort been put into it. Ninjas + Stealth + Good devs = WIN!Cbok

teh first two were the best in the series on the psx i played teh crap out of those games. i wish more games were made just like those rather than trying to upgrade the mechanics and failing they should have stuck to the original formula. i hope that if there is a new one by capcom they do it right this time

I would say they're slightly behind quantity, but in terms of quality they are so far ahead of EA and Ubisoft it's almost unhuman.

Tenchu 1 and 2 was brilliant! in my honest opinion it was better than the MGS!

you've obviously never played tenchu one and two on psx then! or its just not your cup of tea but i found the games to be great! hiding around walls waiting for the next person to slice up...oooo the memories! the latest tenchu on xbox was complete crap as the were the ones on psp, ps2, xbox1.

What the...? Capcom have released far more original games than EA has. Dead rising, Zack and Wiki and lost planet vs the endless sequals activision, EA and Ubisoft churn out.

I remember that it was the first sort of "realistic" type of Ninja game and that was cool, but I also remember mediocre graphics and really bad AI.I remember the series not improving and me getting less and less interested in the franchise as each new game came out.

Oh well, I'm a pretty optimistic person at times and I like Capcom most of the time. Here's to hoping.

Hardly. And I won't even dignify that remark by listing them either. Tenchu was always a B-list game at best. But hten again that's just my opinion. But seriously the first Tenchu isn't better than the last 10 games I've played.
