Until now Capcom was coy to confirm it, but Monster Hunter Tri is without a doubt getting an overseas release. Their 2008 financial results presentation states Monster Hunter Tri will come out in "FY 2009″ or, in plain English, sometime between April 2009 - April 2010. Monster Hunter Tri comes has an ambiguous summer target in Japan. I wouldn't expect a domestic release until this winter.

Capcom's presentation also explains their part of their platform strategy is to "introduce versions of major game series for the extremely popular Wii." Nine Wii games are planned to ship within this fiscal year. Previously announced titles include: Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Spyborgs, Monster Hunter 3, Resident Evil Archives, Resident Evil Zero Archives, and Monster Hunter G which shipped last month.

That gives us at least three titles to speculate on.

Source: http://www.siliconera.com/2009/05/10...er-hunter-tri/

To make guessing the remaining titles easier I've relisted the titles below:

Known Wii Games:
1.) Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
2.) Spyborgs
3.) Monster Hunter 3
4.) Resident Evil Archives
5.) Resident Evil Zero Archives
6.) Monster Hunter G

Unknown Wii Games:
7.)
8.)
9.)

Reasonable, considering original Wii titles sell really poorly to the Wii target market anyway. At least Capcom is one of the few third-party companies out there that make an effort to stir up a reason to get a Wii other than for shovelware and first-party Nintendo titles.

Naw it just makes sense for them. Slap some game together in little time and put the RE name on it then throw it on the Wii. It does not even need to sell huge amounts to make a profit since it has low dev time. It is not like the RE5 for the 360/PS3 where it was the main RE game and lots of work went into it.

Well, that's actually a decline...

Capcom releases 09-10

They released 14 titles this fiscal year. The DS ( 28 ) will get the most love followed by the Ps3 (13). It's weird considering that even though Lost Planet 2 is considered multi, they still have 1 one more game to be released for the Ps3. So, LP" is a not so timed-exclusive or perhaps there are 2 unheard of exclusive games for Ps3?

Franchise rehashing at it's finest. One new game from a franchise every few years is fine. Multiple releases in the same year is overkill.

Three of those games are ports. They're not "working" on 9 games for the wii. They're working on 6, assuming that the unknown titles aren't other ports.

I hope the 3 games that are unknown are:

Resident Evil 2: Archives

Resident Evil 3 Archives

Resident Evil Veronika: Archives

Would be good if they get the graphics to the standard of 1 and zero as find the ports did on the GameCube are unplayable now due to bad graphics unfortunatly.

So how's the Wii version of Resident Evil 5?
Oh sorry I mean how's Street Fighter IV?
No wait forgive me what I meant to ask in that last line was are you looking forward to Lost Planet 2?
Actually that's not right either what I really meant to ask was if you are looking forward to playing Dark Void?
I know I'll get this eventually... isn't it awesome Bionic Commando is coming?
Bet you can't wait to play that Dead Rising 2 because that looks pretty sweet.

Seriously though TC you're one of the worst fanboys to come along since -Renegade, air_wolf_cubed or -GhostMLD.

We get it you favor the Wii.

Hopefully your posting habits annoy the mods enough for them give you the same treatment they got.

I would say that I hope one of the unknown titles is Viewtiful Joe 3,but something tells me that isn't likely.Oh well...Viewtiful Joe 3 seems like a better fit for the 360/PS3,anyways.

The only thing that interests me are the sales estimates. 9 titles for over 4 million in sales. That's 2 million for Monster Hunter 3, and 2.2 million estimated for the other 8. If my estimates are correct, they would need 1 more "big" title to sell approximately 500,000. Then again, I could just be underestimating their estimates.

We will see. Capcom does have 2 BIG Surprises left for E3. :\
