Capcom told Eurogamer earlier this week that it had no plans to bring Dragon's Dogma Online to these shores. It's due out in Japan at some point in 2015.
No release in the west?????

@b4x: Yeah, I loved their games from the PS1 and PS2 eras. The problem is that their CEOs have made shit decisions since the start of last gen and have gone downhill ever since. They don't care about their series' fans and haven't got some time.
Someone needs to back a dump truck of money up to their door... to save the IP's for people that want them. If managed properly there is money to be made IMO. At least from me.
The dog jumping through the Window on RE PS1.... good times :)
My god, Capcom just destroyed one of their only best RPG franchises in a sheer instant. They just keep screwing with their IPs. It's amazing how stupid they are. It's just bad decision after bad decision, over and over. They're basically asking to go out of business.
I wonder if it'll just be a Japanese only release. Giant bomb lists this as free-to-play. Interesting, I heard they plan the same thing for Deep Down. Anyhow, I don't see what all the love for the original Dragon Dogma comes from. There was a lot less main campaign content that I was expecting. Large beasts were few and far between. I hated the bulletin board quests. No fast travel system. The online features were stupid (pawn exchange). I don't think it lived up to the hyping, but it was an okay start to a new franchise, something that can be built upon. But there's very little in the original game for me to feel they'll mess it up with an online game, if anything they stand a chance to improve the game series. It appears to finally have real multiplayer. And if quests are based around the challenges of a party system then maybe they can be meatier and more challenging quests. I see room for growth with the series with this, if they do it right. Then again a Japan only game isn't really a step in the right direction, if that ends up being what it is. After all, Capcom didn't release much in 2014, and what they did release was a lot of Japan only games.
