Castlevania: Lords of Shadow coming to PC as Ultimate Edition

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is coming to the PC this summer, Konami announced today. Mercury Steam's action game was originally released only for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010.

Lords of Shadow for PC will include expansions Reverie and Resurrection, as well as 1080p graphics at 60 frames per second.

Lords of Shadow for the PC features new storylines, weapons, skills, battles, and environments not found in the original console game.

I was surprised that I actually really enjoyed the game. But I would not buy it again as I already played it in 2010.

Would rather have MGS:Rising.

Love to see more hack and slash games coming to PC. Metal Gear Rising is coming as well

No way. According to metacritic, Lords of Shadow is a better game.

Ew. I guess PC gamers get to experience the awfulness of this game now... I guess it'll look extremely pretty though (it's one of the best looking console games imo) but that's about it.

Was a pretty awesome game except for the beginning which dragged. Can't wait to see the sequel tomorrow.

Franchise would have died without LOS, I kinda believe them to since OOE did 19k in its first week or some nonsense IIRC. Either way, I've played ever CV and don't see how they've done damage to the franchise.

I actually just rebought the game, wanted to give it another shot.
If I can sell the copy for a decent price Ill wait for this.

Nope, devs just want to turn over some money, so when consolites pirate or stay away from smaller games in favor of CoD, they're left with no choice but to try the PC crowd! ;)

Fvcking love this, game is decent and has great replayability, graphics, artstyle & soundtrack are all top notch.

Depending on what's new on the PC edition, I may buy it again.

I haven't even finished the game I mightget the pc version of the new content is good

LoS was a really fun game.  I'm double dipping.  Anything Castlevania I'll eat up in a matter of seconds.

...except Castlevania Judgement.

Castlevania still does atmosphere better than any other franchise out there.

I don't get people who try to claim that something doesn't, "feel like Castlevania". Not only do the 3D titles play dramatically differently from each other, but so do the 2D entries. If you don't like the story, so what? There are about 4-5 different timelines within Castlevania if you ignore the enormous number of retcons Iga made over the years and Mercurysteam has already said they're done after the next one.

Ecclesia did a little over 20k in Japan, the entire DS series were best sellers overseas.

LoS was fine, not what Id consider Castlevania, but a well made game. MoF was just a poor attempt at capturing the handhelp Castlevania crowd and I think if anything thats game may have hurt the IP. Maybe not, but its just not a great game.

Actually I need to take back my earlier statement about playing all the CVs, I haven't tried MoF yet. LOS is castlevania for me, it's how I see the original games transitioning to a 3D environment. My only gripe is the enemy designs need a little more japan to them, some poor pacing at the beginning and some battles last a bit too long. Other than the game is good.
