3DS better for "casual", Wii U for "bro"... that's my guess, we don't know much about Wii U games.

Well, the WiiU isn't out for a good year so the 3DS is the only option between the two now.

Sounds like the 3DS is right for you. You can purchase Pokemon Black or White, any Sonic games you find interesting along with the great 3D titles out and soon to come. I don't own a 3DS but am I correct that it plays NDS games? if so then yeah good choice.

Mario and Sonic... casual? Heck, Pokemon isn't even casual. The modern-day definition of what a casual game is is games like Angry Birds, Farmville and Wii Sports.

By casual I mean, softer games... Games that don't take the rush of Crysis or Battlefield...

They're child friendly but they're not casual, Pokemon has loads of depth. Kinect Sports and Fable Journey are what we call casual.

That's not an accurate description of a casual game.

actually i think wii u and 3ds will cater to all ,

based on the following games

3ds has some games for the casuals such as nintendogs and balloon pop 2 coming and i tihnk theres even a carnival games coming or somthing similar-dual pen sports oh thats it , but ya a system thats for both audiences is easily better then 1 aimed at one market in particular ,

the wii u looks to be the same thing , cause it has wii controller support and traditional pads as well , as touch screen but so far wii u seams to be a gamers paradise that will probably change though into one for every one once it gets recognition ,

thats the thing, if nintendo can bring over wii sports and such and still have third parties supporting it with both types of games which is doable i tihnk they can get both markets
