Well this is pretty much a garunteed success for CD Projekt RED, after TW2 as long as it isn't terrible, I WILL BUY ANYTHING THEY MAKE. :P

True, I honestly think that's the most overrated movie of all time. Other than the stunning scenery/world for the time it offers absolutely nothing.

Well ghost in the shell tries to be a more realistic sci-fi universe with cyborgs and what not, so I suppose that's what they are drawing from there.

Anyway..Blade Runner bassicaly created the modern cyberpunk aesthetics. CDP uses it as example because few people know Cyberpunk 2020 these days. But it's still based on 2020, so it's very stongly defined setting to begin with.

So they are going all out with the custimizations this time.

lmao, bladerunner and amazing hardly go together. The movie got panned by critics when it first came out and a bunch of hipsters years later elevate it to a status it doesn't belong. The visual design was exquisite but beyond that it was a sh!tty, boring, bloated movie.

Have they confirmed what type of combat there will be? Is it an FPS or what?Sushiglutton

Assumng it doesn't appear on next gen systems if there is any game that can convert me to PC gaming it's this one. But I really hope it gets a next gen consoles release because the game seems to be 2-3 years away from release and by then Sony and MS will definitely have their new systems available to gamers.

Anime in general is pretty terrible. It's incredibly hard to find actually good ones, and even then they're only good based on anime standards.

What about the themes that run throughout? Technology as a detriment to mother nature, memory and identity, what makes us human, corporate oppression, dreams etc. The set design is only a single (albeit, the most obvious) element of the whole.dommeus

The world design is the most praised aspect of the movie, it literally overshadows everything you mentioned and it is essentially what the movie is remember most for, and even with that the movie is simply too bloated, much of the first half is essentially unnecessary and makes for a very boring experience. While I understand my opinion on the movie maybe in the minority, at the time of release if I recall, many many other people felt that way and still do.

And it's not the source material's fault. The two TV series (Stand Alone Complex) are incredible, but the movies are garbage.
