Celeste received 9/10 from GameSpot; sixth game with 9/10 at GameSpot in five days

While the 9/10 streak ended at GameSpot a few days ago, today the review site gave Celeste to become the sixth game to receive the score in the last five days.

This must be a record at GameSpot. By the way, IGN.com gave Celeste a 10/10.

Why is Gamespot giving a bunch of 9/10 ratings to games no one even heard of before. Did they hire a bunch of hipsters recently or what.

Yup. We seem to be getting a lot of great games recently. I’m certainly not going to complain though.

I've been playing it. I usually don't really like harder 2D platformers but this one is great. It just feels good and has interesting levels.

Well most reviews tend to be more emotionally driven that objective so this shouldn't come as a surprise. I am not saying that this game or any of the other games aren't great games just pointing out the standard reviewing process.

Because this game is actually really good, but i forgot xb1x players only care about graphics, low frame rates and no gameplay.
