This is just like when GeoW was proclaimed the console graphics king (And it was, and it deserved the recognition), and while I respect my PC, it's okay to have a console comparison for graphics. GeoW deserves it. KZ2 Deserves it.

You are using the PC to gimp any argument about anything else. It's a comparison, that's life. You might not like that the Oscars compare the movies for that year to each other, but that's how it's done. You might not like being compared to your father, your buddy, or whatever, but comparison's happen. Happens to me too. Who cares.

IT's all good man, you'll get the hang of this place. You have 3000 posts, I got ove r20,000, so obviously I've been around the block more than you. You have experience though, for sure, it's just not comparable.

I've dealt with this place, and these threads a lot longer. Just you wait for Halo Reach and GeoW3 to be shown off, you'll see.

I'll probably get modded for this but people that are on their high horse about those types of things are real douche bags. No offense. We all know that the PC will always trump consoles in terms of graphics by a substantial margin after a certain amount of time has gone by. There is no reason to not let people compare games that are actually able to be compared and afterwards coming to a conclusion that decides which one is better for the type of hardware that it is on.

Bottom line is the cell is underpowered and outtdated. If it or the PS3 was so great by now it would have many games that look MUCH better i'm talking at the time almost £200 better than the xbox360 and apart from killzone and maybe uncharted which im sorry the xbox will match or beat one day it's not very impressive to me, I may pick one up now it's cheaper but it will be for blu ray not for exclusives im interested in that I can count on one hand.

Obviously Quake 2 doesn't support multi-threading, let alone multi-core.

So, yes, the main PPE on the Cell isn't really that much more powerful than an Athlon 64 of equivelent speed, or a single core from the Xenon.

Console graphics king is a term that should be amended into the System Wars constitution. Otherwise, apperantly, there will NEVER be able to be a graphics king for hardware that cant keep up.
