Well that is very little compared to some CEO's that make 10's of millions. I'm glad EA pays a (somewhat) fair sum and not millions and millions.
I'm still gutted he's left MS. I thought he was brilliant and completely down to earth unlike most in the industry.braydee1234Only system I own is 360 and I do note care that he is gone. All I want are good games and if the new guy helps keeping that happening then that is all that matters. He got a better offer so power to him.

Don Mattrick is going to do awesomely.
I hope so, maybe I'm just an idealist. But I liked his story aswell. He worked his way from selling trainers up to MS. I'm glad he's earning so much money now though. A real dream story.
Why does a failure get paid so much. Seriously what has the guy done that pretty much anyone else knowledgeable on the games industry couldn't have? :|
In a not so messed up world he'd be out on his backside.

Thats because moore isn't a CEO, he's the president of EA Sports, which is actually a pretty similar position compared to what he was at MS (head of a division).[QUOTE="Eltroz"]http://kotaku.com/gaming/money-tats/peter-moores-new-ea-salary-279474.php

CEOs make most their money in stock.
Very good salary,Microsoft shouldn't have fired Peter, for some reason he sorta made the corporation "More human" in a way.DualshockinHe didn't get fired, how could he if he already had a job (and a damn good one at that) lined up? Also if he was fired why would MS keep him on until August? And why the hell would MS fire him when they're the market leader? Do a little thinking next time.

Tell me he doesn't have the look of a man who knows he's just fleeced you out of money and there's nothing you can do about it.

No they don't (although they do usually end up buying stock), they gain most of it in salary and bonuses. This is why there is a debate going on as to why ****ty CEO's are making millions even though their company is losing money. They should make most of their money off of stock, but they don't.[QUOTE="Dualshockin"]Very good salary,Microsoft shouldn't have fired Peter, for some reason he sorta made the corporation "More human" in a way.EltrozI am just making sure. Do you know the difference between being fired and changing jobs? I do indeed know the difference, and I still believe Microsoft shouldn't have fired him.

That for somebody who has NEVER made a profitable product in his entire career as far as I'm aware?
EA is ****ing wasting their money.
I still believe you're an idiotic Sony fanboy whos jealous his favorite company has fallen and is being trampled by the Wii and 360 in sales. He was fired? No, he's leaving on his own...could it have to do with the MILLIONS OF DOLLARS HE'LL MAKE IF HE DOES? Gee, I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

That's what they're going to try and convince us. But anyways,I wonder what "impact" Microsoft will have at EA Sports.[QUOTE="Xbox360gamer1"][QUOTE="Nickman71"][QUOTE="Eltroz"]http://kotaku.com/gaming/money-tats/peter-moores-new-ea-salary-279474.php

You have no idea what you are talking about, and Xbox360gamer is correct. I worked for a company that provided financial planning and tax planning for executives at Fortune 1000 companies (had about 375 of the 1000 companies as clients) so I did financial planning, wealth management, executive comp and taxes for these CEOs, CFOs etc. of huge companies. When you see exorbitant executive compensation, and I mean outrageous, it usually is in the form of stock options and stock grants, not Salary and bonuses. Salary and bonuses are significant, but pale in comparison to other forms of executive comp. From forbes. Terry S Semel CEO of Yahoo was the highest compensated CEO of F500 companies, his salary for 2005 was $600 thousand, his stock gains $230 million. Median salary for CEOs that year in Software and Services was $825 thousand. Care to retract your statement?

Now I don't know if you've ever had a job, but if you have you'd knowthe interview and application process takes days at best, usually more than a week or two regardless of who is getting the job. So either Peter Moore quit, or I want to see how EA hires people.

Everyone on here once in awhile makes a somewhat fanboyish post but they just do not do it every post.
I have to agree with dualshockin this one time. He isn't getting paid that much , and is taking a lower position at ea. He was most likely fired from Microsoft. There would have been no reason for him to leave microsoft otherwise.
Eltroz, he is most likely accurate, and even though you don't want to believe him, he shouldn't be called a fanboy for stating his position on this. It is like saying ken kutargi resigned because he wanted too.
[This message was deleted at the request of the original poster]EltrozI see,so you believe every single post is somehow "fanboyish" because it states an opinion?

Maybe he actually liked it in his old home and really wants to move back? That's still alot of money, he could get whatever he wanted ontop of happiness.
