This was already posted and he just thinks that for the console this wasn't the right time for it but oh well, I'm kinda sure GOW 3 will be on PS3.tegovoltio

by that logic every early adopter of a system got milked. Its always eventually going to be cheaper and to say you KNOW whats going to be a companys downfall is bit premature

Not really some ppl buy the PS3 because they want a BR player as well as games.

Jaffe makes fun of himself constantly, man. Jaffe also said he's unlikely to be using next-gen physics and AI techniques, because he thinks they detract from what he has in mind for the God of War franchise. Said it "f'ed up the pacing" basically.

Blu Ray gives the PS3 some sort of distinction. And it could turn out to be awesome. But the fact is, Jaffe doesn't need it. He never planned on it, I bet. He's not really planning on making next-generation games. He's planning on making downloadable games and making a God of War that will meet up with its predecessors. He's not even interested in this technological stuff.

He might as well be developing for the Wii. Obviously, I am glad he is not. I will gladly fork out for God of War 3, as well as his downloadable games. Which brings me to something else...instead of working on the Wii, he's making downloadable games on PSN. What stake does he have in Blu Ray?

The only stake he has on it is in how Sony performs, being the platform that is shipping his titles. But to him, personally, it won't keep him from making his favorite games.

Kojima, Square-Enix, Insomniac. Now those are different stories. Ask them and you'll hear something completely different.

 The Proof is there so I have Reason to believe. Some of PS's greatest games are on 360 now, and some are actually be dev'd on 360 (GTA 4). Even if it isn't exactly Sony's Downfall in the GAMING DEPARTMENT, Its sure as hell is going to put a dent in it and it was a Mistake!

I have to completely agree. People are just jumping to soon into conclusions on both sides. A lot of stuff is still to be seen, the downloadable situation, the Blu-ray price or if the timing of the Blu-ray infiltration into the market could prove to be usefull in a couple of years time, the HD situation during this console war. Everything is uncertain at this point in time.

He would dump Blu Ray because that's what makes the system so expensive. The price is what's holding it back and keeping the 360 in the lead, that mixed with the 360's superior library. There will have to be price drops for the system to compete, especially since they dumped the cheaper version.Trashface

Sony is all about thinking ahead in the future...you can't think ahead if your using a 10 year old format for future use.
