yes it think so, chrono cross had the best music and battle system the story was also the best, but chrono trigger was also very good but the story was a little confusing, and that lives the all great final fantasy .xjet039

you have just lost all your credibility when it comes to discussing rpg's. how could you put chrono cross > ff7 ... ok ill let that pass.....

but then you did the unthinkable putting chrono cross > chrono trigger.

How could you put down a legendary classic like that? if you ask any long time rpg fan they will definitly put ff6 and chrono trigger as one of the best in rpg history.

i dont want to say much since its all opinion based. but i think your just a new rpg gamer who hasn't really enjoyed the classical rpg's as true rpg fans have.

How did CT end at the bottom? The title actually suggests a graphical comparison actually.

CC was a good RPG, but in my honest opinion as a huge fan of the original and the genre it was a step backward for the would be series. Tossed in some half hearted collect-a-character concept, which was and still is done better in the Suikoden series. This is turn ruined the tech attack battle system established in the first, since you're unlikely to use the piss poor characters in battle that are needed for most of the very few techs found in the game. And when I say "piss poor characters" I'm directly referring to Poshul, Razzly, Starky, Draggy, Mojo. Neofio, Turnip, Skelly, Funguy, Leah, and Pip (at least). Most worthy characters in my honest opinion were Kid, Serge, Harle, and Glenn.

One last thing, and it's purely my original feeling when it happened, but Serge > Lynx

and to note. i do agree that chrono cross has one of the best musics in gaming history (there are a lot but this is def in the top tier).

Chrono Cross was really fun but there was really no motivational pull for a gamer to continue on. i am still at the end of the first disc and i haven't played it since which is like 1 yr ago. the game is gorgeous dont get me wrong, but if your a true chrono series fan and you played chrono trigger first, then this game will dissapoint because chrono trigger fans have since been waiting for a true sequel.

i will eventually beat chorno cross (hopefully in the summer after i beat ff12, and kingdome hearts 2).

• Live A Live
• Rudora no Hihou
• Bahamut Lagoon
• Star Ocean

Chrono Triggers story confusing? Well sure from you first trip in time, you certainly mixed up a lot of things that were preatty much linked to the story later on. But..... confusing?

you wanna know what got me confused? being able to fight the final boss halfway into the  the game :? and all that time traveling confused me abit..oh well..i was still young at the time.

I don't really want the rumors, but I'll take the screens (albeit they're just as easy nowdays to mock up).

I wouldn't be surprised, albeit I'm kind of interested to see whether SE puts there old content on the Wii's VC or on the Xbox 360's Live (either way to me is fine).

Yeah, there were some time elements that made the story interesting to say the least :P . And what you're sayind does make a lot of sense, since the game had what............ I probably finished all of them and can't even remember......... 13 different endings? Someone help here.........?

I don't really want the rumors, but I'll take the screens (albeit they're just as easy nowdays to mock up).

Those screens don't tell me much, I mean all someone had to do was take a old screen of CT and slap it on one of many CT backgrounds and presto you have the same concept they used for other XBLA titles (Symphony of the Night for example).-RPGamer-

but the rumors are pretty old by now, those screens are recent I guess, I remember hearing the rumor back in nov or something

Yeah thats what I was thinking, since he talked about a demo and I don't think PS1 had a port of Secret of Mana. Tho there are ways................... Argh!
