Classic Doom fans - favorite mod(s)?

Self explanatory title, but what is/your choice here?

Call it nostalgia, but I have quite the fondness for Chex Quest.

As a kid, it blew my mind to see something "appropriate" in contrast to it's base game and Duke 3D, even knowing later that it was technically a Doom mod in and of itself. Which is why I'm glad fans ported it with Bethesda's I + II re-release (wish General Mills and Bethesda worked something out to make it "Featured") and even did a backport of Chex Quest 3 for it. I guess it also made me fond of Doom mods that completely change the aesthetic from Space and Hell.

It even got featured on John Oliver's show of all places (starts around 3:45 if you can watch it).

Well I for one like the voxel mods that turn 2D sprite enemies into full fledged 3D enemies.

Other than that I haven't really enjoyed any of the mods beyond just fooling around for a few minutes.

Brutal Doom.

You ever played this mod called Bloom? It's Doom and Blood mixed together. It's a really good mod if you haven't played it yet.

@AcidTango: Seen it yea, already own Blood though so haven't felt much need to download it, though it may be an interesting curio.

Brutal Doom felt pretty bold with it's more contemporary direction in gameplay features ... I kind of like that one little where it multiples all the monsters by 10 ,makes it really feel like hell

@AcidTango: I really wanted to love Blade of Agony. I was really loving Blade of Agony.

But then I hit the Dday level and playing a doom game with a 3080ti and getting 10 fps was not fun.

The game was already struggling but at that point the games optimization, along with me, just gave up.

But man, playing a 2.5D retro world war 2 game was so much fun!!
