closing off 2 of the most annoying arguments agenst wii (using common scence)

grafics: yes cows, power can help a game with phisics and AI and all that, grafics aren't perfectly unnessesary either but they BY NO MEANS MAKE THE WHOLE GAME, if video games were desided to be good by grafics alone, the whole industry would never have launched because pong had what, two colourless static sticks and a ball?. nowadays pong is unacseptible with high end PS3 grafics and a compleatly made over interface with the greatest looking game on ps3, soly because by todays standards the GAMEPLAY is unacseptible, yes its the gameplay that truely matters, and while grafics aren't the wiis strongest point, it has plently enough to create grafics enough to satisfie anyone who can see this point and enough power to do for gameplay what ps3 did for grafics.

i'm just gona keep this one short and sweet, if i wanted some high end blueray player or hd dvd player, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE AND NOT A GAME SYSTEM!

would you have enjoyed smg the same if it looked like ohte 3rd party wii games?

Graphics these days are necessary, whether it is fair or not. The wii actually looks like it is capable of very good graphics, but developers are being lazy. Also, Dvd players are pretty much standard on all systems nowadays. Therre is no reason for the wii not to have oneSam-Jackson

it must be because they mainly use dollars there

still if it is so cheap the wii should have one

those are not good arguments against the wii

good arguments are

1. it will be mario, zelda, smash, etc. over and over (won't get any good decent 3rd party exclusives)

2. multiplats will be garbage

3. the casual market is causing hardcore games to be dumbed down

4. wiimote and sub-par graphics(compared to other current-gen consoles) will never allow for a true multiplat

and yes dvd player is always nice to have

i have a dvd player that came with my surround sound, a dvd player in my living room, 1 desktop pc and 2 laptops that have built in DVD players, 2 dvd players downstairs,and software that lets me rip dvds. i don't need another dvd player! neither does the rest of the world.

I was hoping for a joke topic when I saw the title but I think he's serious.

Is there some problem that I'm unaware that makes devs unable to make games with great gameplay on ps3, 360 and PC?

If a person is going to pay 250$ for a system, that is VERY close to the cheapest true current-gen offering, it BETTER look as good as xbox games right? WRONG! Sure, some games like super mario galaxy are certainly close. But 95% of everything else? Heck, even re4 looked worse on the wii than it did on the gamecube with its stretched widescreen. MP3 doesn't look as good as say riddick does. And brawl, so far melee looks better.

So until nintendo actually sells the system for the price its being made at, you don't get all the bang for your buck.
