Visually it doesn't look impressive at all.  Gameplay looks boring to me so I really don't care about this game.

And no, I don't buy into the PR BS regarding cloud.

First of all, not all Clouds (or servers) are the same. Some clouds are just for storage while others are for processing. I think its clear that you dont understand the difference. Also, most people on this board dont understand this either, so dont let those people affect you.

Hermits have been mad lately. Why are you upset about a new buzzword? Hermits don't care about the XBONE so there really is no reason for you to cry about it. Is there?

Listen I will grant you that cloud computing and the like has been around for a very long time. I mean if you want to really get down to it, yahoo, and hotmail are a form of cloud computing, both in which have been around for a very long time. With that being said, Nintendo and Sony can't just go and do it now unless they have the infrastructure in place, so no you are wrong in that sense, BUT as far as stating who invented it, its been around for a while. The automatic updates and real time features that would have been apart of the games, or seem to still be in effect are actually pretty new and have not been done gaming wise yet.

Its a very innovative idea, it doesn't suck. Just because you lose your precious plastic disc that means the world to you, doesn't mean that the actual idea of it is sucky. Its a very difficult thing to implement and the thought of it in gaming is at its infancy. I hate when people just say that something sucks just to bash it when the concept is something to look forward to.

Must always be online.

If anything happens on their end you can't play your game.

Licenses can Expire, that game you "bought" on a Cloud Service will get taken down and you will not be able to play it again.

It's a bad design, has nothing to do with Physical. If something goes wrong with Steam's Cloud you can still play your game.

I can't stand when people say this, "If the service will get taken down you will not be able to play it". Where is the proof that this will happen with XBOX Live? Your post is full with a lot of assumptions. If anything I'm pretty sure that if this ever went into effect they would have a pretty solid redundant system in place. This is Microsoft's deal, they know what they are doing. They have corporations around the world running Office 365 in their cloud service. These are multi-billion dollar corporations running their email services and alike on Microsoft's cloud. I would trust MS with this technology than any other corporation. If people did a little research instead of just bashing the hell out of it, maybe they would get a better understanding instead of thinking the sky is falling on their face.

Let the lemmings think that "the cloud" is new technology and isn't just a fancy term for the Internet, and that X1's cloud processing isn't just an empty promise on par with PS3's Cell.

Ginosaji

I think many people know that. What MS was going to do with it has not been done on a gaming console and they had some really good ideas that they were going to implement. Bash some of the silly policies like the 24 hour thing, don't bash innovation or at least trying to do something different instead of the same old garbage gen after gen.

Is basically a waste..

Take Tittanfall for example they will use it to offload AI,so what AI i wonder the damn games is multiplayer only is not like you will have soldiers all over the place,so that probably mean colition detection,or baked lighting like Forza is doing, and you know that could only be done on the cloud because no other system can do those things..

Well thats true in a sense, i mean you would have to build a system to take advantage of it. If you are saying any electronic or gaming device with internet could take advantage of the cloud, well then it varies because not all netcode is the same, not all hardware is the same, not all routers, wifi connections, ISPs, etc are the same either. You would really have to build a device around the cloud to take full advantage of it rather than just having an internet connection. PS3 or 360 cant do much more than cloud storage, whereas PS4 and One could do more since they were both build with cloud services in mind..........although in different ways with different cloud tech

Loads of things utilise the cloud, what's important to that is how big it is, and how much effort is being put into it. Xbox is specifically targetting cloud processing as a core feature of the console. It's not unique, but the xbox is putting more focus on it than anyone else.
