I love predictions. I wish I could get paid to make them too. There is virtually no penalty if you're wrong.

And the Wii is going to be the outright, clear-cut winner this generation with the PS3 and 360 battling for a very distant 2nd place.

According to that graph, they expect the PS3 to sell 10 million units in fiscal 08, and the X360 to sell 5 in the same time period.

The exponential growth in the fiscal 09 for the PS3 is crazy.

I don't know about that. Remove Zelda, Metroid, Brawl, Galaxy, WiiSports, WiiFit, WiiPlay, and Mario Kart and I think you've got one hell of a flop.famicommander

If the Wii was not an interactive gaming system and it had the same graphics power it has now, and those games still came out, then it would be one hell of a flop. You can count on that.

No wonder the Gamecube managed to beat the PS2 and Xbox 1 last gen. It's all about Mario games. Third party support is overrated :roll:

By 2010 there will be a new Xbox. Priced fairly around $400 at launch it will crush the PS3 that is probably still $250 or more. This new Xbox will use a graphics card and central processor that is a couple generations newer than that in the 360 or PS3.

I mean I see why they made this graph. But honestly, it seems like the are suggesting that the PS3 will capture all of the PS2s fanbase which they won't.

God I hate some people on system wars when they just make up hypothetical arguments to make consoles seem bad. Do you really think that if Nintendo hadn't made motion sensing they'd have left the graphics the same? No. Do you really think those same games would've come out? No.

People also doubted the ps1 and ps2 and look what happened. Im not saying the ps3 will repeat what the ps1 and ps2 has done but u can never doubt sony with there hardware and amazing lineup of games. Like Rudy T for the houston rockets once said, "Dont ever underestimate the heart of a champion". Oh wait that was basketball, lol nevermind. :P

Many? I'd say a little more than one hundredth. More Ps2 owners became Wii owners than anything and most 360 owners were xbox owners last gen.

I guess what Cnet is trying to say is, they don't believe Wii future proofness agaist the other consoles, but I think they are well overestimating the PS brand to think most people will chose that way(over the 360 that has the biggest library).

The reason there seems to be this ambiguity is because all the claims of 360 bias is a bunch of kneejerk bullcrap perpetuated by a bunch of silly people dissapointed with a score, etc.
